"Bar Rescue" is an American show that is similar to "Kitchen Nightmares", except it's for bars/nightclubs. Nightlife expert Jon Taffer goes to failing bars and nightclubs and helps turn them around with the help of some specialists such as chefs and mixologists. They also end up getting re-modeled (and boy do they need it, the places are often in horrible states of disrepair.).  The places are often filthy, much like "Kitchen Nightmares." You have to see these things to believe them.  It's shown on Sundays at 9 PM Eastern time in America on Spike TV.

And WHY do you want to watch that?  Find a reshowing of Roseanne, or Cheers or Friends!

I watched it a couple of times, but could not get interested.   Reminds me a bit of Hard Core Pawn, in which the main characters are very unlikeable.

Bar Rescue is reality tv that is scripted, however, i find it very entertaining.

I watch the show to learn some new drinks and customer interaction/ideas.

For some reason, tv is now flooded with pawn shop programmes. I couldn't stand Hard Core Pawn for longer than 3 minutes. Shouldn't surprise me, I'm allergic to so-called reality shows. Moronic.
