Burnley v Chelsea (PL) Sat 7th Oct 23 15:00 GMT

When was the last time we came from behind to win a match?
In any competition, it was when we defeated Wimbledon in the League Cup 2-1 a few weeks earlier.

In the PL, October last year when we defeated Crystal Palace 2-1. Potter’s first win as coach.

When was the last time we scored 4 in a game
Southampton away in April 2022, when we won 6-0.

Well Sterling and Jackson earned their spots for the Arsenal game. Only other change I would make would be Reece in for Cucurella.

Much as I would sooner see Mudryk start you don't dropped Sterling after that performance. And we badly need to beat Arsenal.  We need to beat one of the "big" sides. Has been too long since we showed we were anything more than cannon fodder, or the grab the occasional draw, against the "big" names.

Cheers, will look into it - got a brand name I should go for?

In other news Mikael Forssell just came off the bench.
Not really - Mine is probably overpriced, but works flawlessly - so have stuck with it.

Can sort you out his number if interested....

sky is watching ......big brother
Yep - armed gangs roam the streets, where in London, it is now unwise to leave the house wearing a moderately fancy watch or handbag...old bill do nothing.

...and yet, the powers that be are very happy to crack down on those who refuse to take part in the price fixing monopoly that is sky - even if only used for 3pm games which are not shown in the UK. The country is broken.

Are the Old Bill bothered about it really ?

Watching the first half on replay. 80% possession is not for this side. We are not there yet or will never be. As soon as Burnley (at 20mins) wanted the ball and rotated it we were able to find spaces as soon as we got it back.

Cucurella is here for this season or till January. His ability should cost 10-15m and not a pound more. His footballing brain 🧠 or ability are not on this level. His physical level probably is what has made him become a Premier League player.

Had a watch back on the app yesterday, really great to see a convincing win going into the break.

Loads of positives, thought Caicedo was great. Sterling obviously fantastic. Palmer offers us something completely different and much needed.

Thought Colwill looked wobbly in the first half, but all of our young players are going to have the odd bad game in them. What's important is that it went unpunished as he's been great this year so hopefully he just bounces back.

Let's do a general analysis for this game.

Negative :

- Colwill defense. Colwill passing from lb position is just elite however his defending still need a lot of work. He was at fault for bunrley goal and he felt asleep for another Burnley chance . If this is just a one time thing, it is not a problem but this happen quite often. He is still 20 though.

- Silva. You can't fight father time.

- Cucurella. I understand rb is not his natural position but his one on one defending is just atrocitious.

Positive:

- Midfield Trio.  You can see the movement and understanding between Gallagher, Enzo and caicedo just getting better and better. They just need more training and more time playing together.

-  Palmer

Palmer is not a star but similar to chuku, he can play as a connector and that really help our offense tick.

- Sterling

He is just an awful footballer.

Lazy, iconsistent, awful decision maker, can't score, can't create, can't beat player.

But he scored 1 and created 3 goals, so fair play to him.
