I remember there was a night organised to buy mickey a headstone , really sad how he was treated by the club . I also find it sad that now we attract the likes of Mr Madonna, much better with fans like Rodney Bewes and Phil Daniels

I always though Michael Crawford was a weird one. I know he was only acting, but it is hard to magine Frank Spencer standing in the Shed.

The definitive list:...
Yes, good definitive list, Trevor Nelson on Chelsea TV 2 nights ago for 5 minute interview, good lad, old school Chelsea supporter (originally from East London and a pukka DJ to boot... :-)

There was two benefit nights for MG i went to both, the 1st was the night before the 97 cup final in Drakes bar(if i remember right) he was there & got given a st for the following season to use, it turned out to be just along by two seats to mine in the mhl, he only made one game though then it got shared about bewteen different lads for some reason, maybe that was after he'd hit hard times & maybe he couldnt afford the cost of a day out ect who knows?

The second do was the night before Charlton at home when we lost 1.0 in 01, that was to raise money for the upkeep of his grave & a headstone, it was said approx 1,000 Chelsea were there that night, Bates was supposed to have paid some money towards the do as well not sure how true that is though.

There's pics of his headstone on the net somewhere, i did have a copy but cant find it, if i come across it i'll post it up.
