Should fit in well as a LB/LCB. Second half highlights noticed Palmer drifted inside with Gusto overlapping. 
 

Not sure if this was just a moment or the tactical switch when Palmer came on. If the latter credit to Maresca for being flexible we all worried he wouldn’t be. 
 

 
In first few mins we were in Inter pen box twice , 60 passes later Sanchez was hoofing a pass to their centre half!!...😐...things didn't improve a whole lot rest of half... still struggling in defence... sideways football.... awful goal to concede....2 passes & they were in.....40 passes before we got it into their box.....Guiu running his ass off but nobody else really pressing....🤔do we not all press together or no press & drop off & invite them out.....2nd half we improved but wouldn't say we created much or worked them (I know Italian teams are organised but)....all in all can see improvement from 1st few games.... gonna take a bit more & unfortunately you don't get that time in Prem but maybe by Oct we'll be cooking.....

As already said....few of 2nd half players looked better & more determined...Veiga looked decent, Knunku needs to stay fit... Sterling looked more decisive too but hopefully Neto can claim that position....Muddy needs to go, looked as if he wanted off, doing nothing all pre season....Levi should base his game on JT not Van Dick,  strolling around....gone back since last year... maybe no Silva to coach him....... obv Chilwell not in Enzo plans, no game time... so think board should be rushing to reduce this squad massively & soon as it'll fester if no game time being given to some....

 
Thought their keeper made some excellent saves. Impressed with him. Did his job, looked confident, defenders could trust him. It never once crossed my mind whether he can play as a sweeper.

Sanchez OTOH makes me nervous anytime the ball is at his feet. 

 
Been a poor preseason.

i don’t really buy this that it doesn’t matter. We look very dodgy at the back and seem to struggle to score goals.

its only a week until the league begins. I’m pretty concerned and we could be in for a hiding against man city.

Yann Sommer has always been a baller. He's a decent shot stopper as well. Far too old for this mob though. Shame, he's better than any keeper we have.

Pretty much what happened last season. It's Palmer's thing.

There will bring no shortage of takers that's for sure. The kid is gonna be a star if he stays injury free. Spoke with a Villa ST holder when we brought him and he raved about Chucky. Said he was their best player and so exciting to watch.

 
Little surprised we changed manager in a shortened pre-season after a major international tournament.

Palmer and Cucu just back.

Good that we didn't lose yet a few questions still hanging over the team / squad and we need to improve in several areas.
