Chelsea vs Blackburn Rovers (LC), Wed 1st Nov 2023, 7:45 GMT

They should be where we are in the league right now. A few world class goals against the likes of Burnley and Sheffield United are the only reason why they're not. They look like they can get smashed by everybody. We drop points because we lack concentration at vital moments, United drop points because they get dominated all over the pitch.
We look better than a lot of teams tbh the goals just don't come 🥲

Newcastle face Fulham at home the Saturday beforehand and Luton the weekend after.

So they can go full strength against us as the CL group stage is done then.

Well we are out then. Solid defence, top keeper, very good at counter attacks.
Last team I would want to play against for sure, stylistically they are a nightmare.

It'll be one of our toughest games of the season.

Yes, that'll do wonders for his confidence.
Why is it that anyone who week in week out plays poorly for us is always just lacking confidence or is, using the current buzzword, raw? Is there ever an occasion where one of our players is sadly just not that good?

If Jackson was playing like this for quarter of a season at Old Trafford or Anfield, I doubt he’d get much sympathy  on here.

Sadly for the lad and us, we’ve made another mistake signing a striker.

Once the first goal went in, there was little doubt of a win

Good minutes for Reece and Badiashile

Sterling came alive 2nd half

Palmer excellent in the first hour…looked to sustain a knock later

Sanchez continues to have the odd brain fart when we are comfortable

Jackson looks like a player who needs withdrawing for a short period to regain confidence…I’m not convinced he is the answer to our forward woes

Newcastle will be difficult but not unbeatable

Nkunku should definitely be back.

There are rumours he could feature against Man City... Even Spurs although that seems a touch too soon.

Kid has been out for 4 months already though.

We won't even have the excuse that they played a " low block " either IF we lose .

Come on you BLUES!

If he's not very good ( dunno if that's true btw) how is it that we continually buy players who after a few games appear not to be good enough to play for us ?

I think we expect too much too soon from them maybe .Who knows?

Surely not? Not like a significant number of supporters to be so impatient

Anyone looking for a good omen to cling to - it's my Birthday on the 19th December and last time we played a Cup QF on my Birthday we beat Liverpool 2-0.  It's either going to be a very good or a very bad Birthday at the Bridge this year!

At this stage I would take anything, can we just celebrate your birthday every matchday?
