It could be all kinds, try changing refresh rates and other things on the tv, I changed my picture to "Dynamic" from "standard" and lowered the sharpness and it made a difference. Is the PC an Nvidia card? Try changing it from ycbcr to RGB,

If you've a PS3 or xbox360 hooked up, try checking out PS3 Media server. Program that allows you to stream any video from a PC to console.

Do you have a USB3 connection or a USB2 connection?

If it is USB2, then perhaps you are not getting enough bandwidth.

USB3 has the blue plastic piece instead of the white plastic piece within the connector.

Set it to that - still looks odd - recommended a much lower one (something like 1280 x 720) but the text was enormous then.
What size is the TV? If it's a large one thats most likely your problem. Tv's are fine for watching movies etc. But day to day use with one, will make things look blurry. I have 2 screens on my pc, 21.5" monitor, and a 37" TV. If im reading things like e-mails, or on here etc, I will use the monitor, as the TV just makes things blurry, streaming movies, the TV is perfect though.

Its just USB2, but Ive binned that idea now anyway and just bought a 64gb USB stick which goes straight into the back of the telly, works perfectly.

28"

How you got it connected loz? Are you using HDMI only, because you could try using DVI or d-sub if the telly can use it. Have both connected and use HDMI for streaming and DVI or d-sub for pc`ing.

Just HDMI - will look into DVI and d-sub.
