Andrey Santos Signs for Chelsea

We finished 10th and haven’t made any serious moves to bridge the gap to the Champions League teams above us.

But, worse than all that (take note the Blue Co cult crew) is they have literally blamed finishing so low fully on Maresca leaving in January!
Maybe not ... our First Team data analyst got the bullet this week as well LOL

He'd been here 20 years apparently.

Yep, another get rid of anything connected to the previous ownership move lol.

Still not seeing this with Santos, if he was that great he'd have played more. Not seen him deliver anything in a single game for Chelsea that is a game changer.

I will hold all judgement on this decision until we see who we sign. If losing Santos means we sign someone ready made to partner Caicedo, I will be happy.
But his job isn't to be a game changer and that's a subjective comment for a central or defensive midfielder. Any one of the numerous tackles and regains that he made could have been every bit as important as an assist or a last minute clearance.

The reality is that the cold hard facts, away from the club pr bullsh*t, is that this club has to raise funds. Everybody is up for sale and unfortunately the vast number of nobodies these idiots purchased are worthless. Result is Santos has to be sold, end of.

If this isn’t to make way for Adam Wharton then we should riot.

We can’t have a window where Tottenham f**king Hotspurs sign 2 PL proven mids and we sell anything even slightly talented to direct rivals for CL football.
Don't worry, we're making way for Bergvall, not Wharton. Tottenham need to move mids now, right?

.

think that this a valid reasoned argument.

But similarly it has to also be acknowledged surely that when we signed Santos he was the first poster boy of the BlueCo model of acquiring some of the most sought after, prodigious Young talents in world football for us to develop and work into a powehouse team of young superstars or to sell eventually and make big money on.

Most of our concerns, however, though have been that where does this market exist that BlueCo are going to make so much money from. There are maybe three clubs in Europe that physically pay for players and the rest will be direct competition in our own league. Most of our concerns, however, though have been that where does this market exist that BlueCo are going to make so much money from. So the conundrum for me is if these players are so talented that their values will double and triple, we'll we're Just going to weaken ourselves and improve our rivals. No problem if we're top of the pile of course. Yeah right. The alternative of course is that these aren't actually burgeoning talents but fairly average kids that we are just trying to flip which then supports the argument that this model they have been briefing us about is actually bo**ocks after all.
We signed a guy for £10m. He didn't excel. We sold him for £50m

He's proving the model, not disproving it.

Some now pretending Santos didn’t have one good performance f**k me
No matter how in your face it is you will find "Chelsea fans" everywhere that will say any number of untrue things to defend BlueCo.

Have to hand it to them though, the way they used the distain many have for Maresca to shift All the blame on him and city for last seasons disaster, and how, Many fell for it, was masterful.

No it's not. He's one of 30 that we bought and have completely snookered ourselves financially and competitively so that we have no option but to sell the few that have a positive value to cover the amortisation costs of the duds that we are lumbered with and can't move. This model is so slick that because we are not capable of shifting duds like Delap or Jackson we have trued to think of a way of backing out of the Emegha transfer cos he couldn't even get a regular game at Strasbourg

Basically Casadei if he was given a chance
I was referring to the data guy they let go this week, but yes Casadei was another player who might turn out good, albeit he hasn't pulled up any trees at Torino yet.

I quite liked Chukwuemeka as well from that first BlueCo window

Agree we’ve bought a few decent ‘talents’ but we really should be buying the next stage of player someone past the potential stage and the more proven professional. Now that doesn’t necessarily mean old just a first teamer. I liked Santos but do we really have the time to wait to see if he’s a top midfielder? I’d say no, we need some real impact players or it’s going to be a long season. We’ll have to wait and see, it’s the hope the kills you.

Santos only ever completed 3 full PL games playing 1200 minutes in the PL in total.

He for me is likely to be a squad player he simply isn’t a starter. Given time he may well develop into a top talent but there again he might not. Only time will tell.

When Salah left us I can’t remember anyone saying it was a mistake . Likewise when Mason left us most were moaning about the transfer being a mistake.

If you are looking at this point in time then you are right it’s exactly the sort of transfer that justifies the model.

Jackson should be able to be sold for a profit, but they need to stop being greedy. Ditto with Gusto.

Not sure what we do though with Slonina, Badiashile, Fofana, Fernandez, Mudryk, Sanchez, Lavia, Washington, Kellyman, Wiley, Paez, Anselmino, Jorgensen., Garnacho and Gittens

I haven't included Tosin, Neto and Delap in that list as I don't think we'll make a loss on them despite their performances, albeit wages make them a harder sell.

In a market where back to back relegated Matheus Fernandes goes for a 85mill deal letting Andrey go for near half that price is one of BlueCos worst negotiations to date.

Or to put it another way, valuing him as just above a Garnacho and less than a Gittens.

If this does not show you how bad our situations is with uefa and the powers that be, nothing will.

We won't pay the wages or sufficient agent fees to get these players and we have no European football to offer.

I am surprised we haven't gone all in for John Stones as he is a free agent

Since this lot have taken over the only player we shouldn't have sold is Lewis hall. And he is definitely not the only player we've sold that had this over the top reaction.

If we don't sign Wharton or Scott, then I wSill be pissed off. Until then I'll hold fire. They've made good decisions on who should leave.
Selling Cucurella does not seem like a good move given that his replacement is 20-year old Hato, which represents a huge gamble. Selling Santos when Enzo is unsettled and wants out and Essugo/Lavia can't stay fit is madness. Under the circumstances we need to add two top level midfielders. Dop you genuinely trust them to do that?

That's all well and good except for every Santos deal there is a sh*tload of players that they bought over the years who are flops and no-one wants them. They can't get rid of these bums, forget about making profit on those. That's the reason they have to sell good players like Santos/Cucurella/Chalobah etc because no-one wants most of the trash they've accumulated in the last four years.
