Apparently we’ve signed Rick Wakeman as our new set piece coach. Said his goodbyes to Villa and reported Chelsea is his next destination. Good signing!

 
Added a technical analyst too. Shaking up the behind the scenes staff for the first team is something that has been needed. Good to see lessons have been learned and they’re backing Alonso

Good to see some of the Blue Co people being replaced / moved aside for some seasoned professionals to support Alonso.

 
Villa had the same amount of set-piece goals as Arsenal last season without the sh*tehousery and grabbing. Really liking this whole club restructure.

  • The dimwits are allegedly demoted to taking care of the women's team (god help them) and Strasbourg.
  • Cueva has been kicked out of Alonso's staff. McPhee in.
  • Alonso brought in his own backroom staff with decades of experience, now bringing in one of the best tactical analysts in Spain.
Just need Roberts somehow kicked out.

 
I hope he can make do with an i pad/laptop it will be a bit inconvenient if he sets up two or three Keyboards with amplification in the technical area on a matchday.

I'd missed that Cuevas was re-assigned. Agree with @Sconnie Blue about McPhee helping Villa score the set number of set-piece goals as Arsenal with finding space rather than punching in the face.
