Sad news yesterday that Danny McGrain the former Celtic and Scotland great full back has been diagnosed with Altzheimer’s Disease.

Here he is above, with his great friend and rival the late,great,Sandy Jardine.

They were, in my humble opinion, the two best full backs Scotland has ever had and two of the best ever British full backs.

Yes, very sad news. Danny was a great player. Agree with you about he and Sandy being two of the best ever fullbacks in Scotland and the U.K. Would easily walk in to the greatest ever Scotland eleven.

Davie Wilson is just about to start celebrating his goal in the 1962 Scotland v England game.

He’s in the dark shirt nearest the bottom of the picture.

There’s simply no space at all on the terraces. The ‘terracing stairwells’ can’t be seen!
