Yeah .. a George did nothing .. Garnacho could have come on instead and kept Pedro on.. .. we completely deserved to beat this bang average stoke city team..

 
2 wins and 2 draws at the start of the season against mediocre opposition. Not good enough. Maresca is a bang average coach that is holding there players back. You don't start an away game with makeshift defence and stick Fofana at RB when he has barely played any football. That completely f**ked up the rhythm of our defence and we never recovered. The whole performance was a mess, and that Brentford team should not be coming away with anything from it, they were awful.

Yet again we make a poor team look far better than they actually are.

 
We can debate it till the cows come home but this will be the theme of the season. We will drop points when we shouldn’t against poor teams and scrape the odd result against top teams.

I don’t know about the manager .. how about the Directors who after Cole I’ll got injured asked is to compete with Tosin and Chalobah as internal solutions.. one can’t tackle the other can’t head .. we need an elite bully of a CB .. not this average lot..

 
Gone are the days where Terry, Silva, Ricardo Carvalho just heads balls like that away like nothing

I don't know how players sh*t themselves from a long throw. It's so easy to defend. One player goes for it, another player puts their body between the opposition attacker. That is how you would deal with Rory Delap's long throws for Stoke. You don't need every player ball watching and desperately trying to clear it. It was like watching Arsenal in the 2000's trying to defend that.

 
It's quite amusing really that we're 2nd in the PL with a Sunday league defence!

I like Garnacho, made the 2nd goal but doesn't know what his job is defensively - stupid to take off JP.

Excellent point. Has long frustrated me - fellas drying the ball, pfaffing about. Liam's dad started it all.

 
The team selection was inhibited by injuries and tha Bayern game. I think when Palmer and Garnacho are fully fit we will see an improvement.

All we need to do is beat Bayern to justify this team selection.

PS. I still think it was a foul throw.

We could have gone top at Christmas against Everton but he managed to tell the players they weren’t good enough, then tonight he disrespected Brentford changing both FB’s, picked a donkey on the LW, recalled a striker and didnt even put him on the bench and picked his worst midfielder and to cap it all brought on a player we tried to sell on the last day of the window

He is a lucky manager, and should be fired

Or you could go the other way and give the keeper a clear path to just grab the ball. There's no reason that goal should have gone in like that

I have never seen a Chelsea team sh*t the bed this hard from a throw in.

 
We needed top Goalkeeper and top Defender (Guehi?) Instead we Garnacho and Gittens . Let Noni go who is seen much better now compared to last season. Its coach's job to improve players . Get Tiago Silva as a defence coach that may solve some problems but Maresca's crazy team selection and crazy subs at times will not solve the problem at all.

 
Painfully obvious to everyone before the season started keeper and centre backs weren’t good enough, and the fact we’ve let it get to a point George is our back up striker is maddening.

 
Imagine the noise the Scouse cnts made when that went in and hendo the bellend calling his old mates after the game, I know it’s only football but I feel like launching my fcking tele out the window

 
Really we didn’t deserve to win that much just for disrespecting Brentford and our fans with that Carobo Cup line up.

But what a daft way to drop 2 points, yeah let’s leave the new guy at the back post to deal with the Brentford long throw.

While we have 2 games a week Maresca is gonna prioritise the Champions League match and then think of the Premier League match so we better get used to this kind of mis-management.
