Carsley's England

Typical England win 3-0 in Greece  just after we hear about TT coming.

Nice change to see us without Saka, Foden and Rice, we actually looked much more balanced.

Pickford was looking like the MOTM and then Bellingham courtesy of a ricochet off the keeper makes it 2-0.

Madueke did well for the first though was well marked afterwards. 

Nice to see Gallagher and Curtis Jones put in a shift too scoring a good goal though my Dad said he could not understand a word in the post match interview asking if he was speaking English. 😀

 
Excellent, Conor Gallagher MOM probably be worth more than that numpty Enzo we paid £100m for soon...

And good assist by Noni for the first goal, lets hope he's learned his lesson and starts doing a bit more assisting when he gets back to the club  ::ChELSeAFaN::

Too much international football, too many international breaks.  What even is this 'league of nations' bullsh*t tournament anyways?

Yep, good to see those lads representing the Academy - obviously the best academy in the country.  But it is all rather pointless. We would see an entirely different England squad if there was a proper tournament in the summer. 

 
Kane looks like the perfect United signing next summer. Slow as a tractor, nearing the end of his career and on huge wages.

He is so lucky to be at Bayern where he's got everything on a silver platter, don't think he'd score more than 10 goals in a PL season if he'd still be at Spurs.

 
4 Cobham starters today, and 4 on the pitch throughout as Solanke was the sub for Gallagher.

Nice to see Conor off the mark with his first England goal as well.

Carsley has done well as interim ... if Tuchel bombs out it wouldn't be the worst idea to give him a permanent gig next time ... 

 
I was disappointed to see Kane start and noticed the first goal was a Kane penalty and their player was sent off and we run riot.

Can't tell much from that though I think Kane now holds us back.

First goal came from an outstanding pass by Kane, he is still superb on the ball. But his lack of movement and pace now is a killer. He could play as a 2nd striker, but no way should he be a 9.

Yep, he did some beautiful passes but thats it. I don't count the penalty as there's enough ppl on the pitch that can, and do take penalties but it was his passing from midfield that was really good!

Unfortunately, I think he's too slow to play as a midfielder though.

Problem is he drops into the same spaces as Bellingham and Palmer. However, Tuchel is one manager that quite 'enjoys' having that problem and is quite good at getting similar players to rotate in and out of their natural spaces. Look at him playing Pulisic, Mount and Havertz all in the same team.

But that never really worked though did it, our attack was never any use under Tuchel, our best chance of goals often came from set pieces or our full backs.

You've got to play to your strengths.  And the weather doesn't help when the World Cup and Euros are played.  And they're gonna play loads of matches during the American WC in the afternoon aren't they?  To "please" most Europeans, not me I want to add.  Play them at night when they should be played.
