I mean how long we gonna stick with this guy, if we saw some progression some implementation of ideas manifesting anywhere then maybe, but he basically took a CL winning squad and the job of an elite manager and turned us into mid table drivel.
If he was asked whether the team is playing to his expectations, I wonder what he'd say. No sign of a plan, I think Potter does need to set some objectives for the rest of the season so we can at least see if there is a plan.sell auberang - havertz - kante - azpi - pulisic - koulibaly - gallagher - cucurella - change scouts . play mendy again , play hall 90mins , try some more academy players . potter must tell us his plan , i dont see it.
Haha, I love the contrast of your post and your user name. Lol.sell auberang - havertz - kante - azpi - pulisic - koulibaly - gallagher - cucurella - change scouts . play mendy again , play hall 90mins , try some more academy players . potter must tell us his plan , i dont see it.
With Hutchinson, the real opportunities were pre-World cup, Potter fumbled the bag with this one. Hutchinson should have taken more risks in the game, sure; but he should have already had games under his belt before being thrown in against a machine like City.Hutchinson - 3 - Too soon for him, not ready for this level yet.
Zakaria has a Champions League goal too, I have the shirt to commemorate it!Well there was that goal as well.
I have 1976 -1980 there were some awful teams, players not the same standard as today's though, but Scott in the modern era you are correct. If this trajectory continues bottom 3 by May or soonerI have never seen a Chelsea team as bad as this one. We'll be lucky to finish in the top 10.
I like that analogy. He's ok and has his good moments but we literally don't have a decent holding midfielder so be default he's an improvement on nothing.Zakaria situation is like the somewhat attractive girl in an office of only men becoming a straight 10 in that environment, I just hope the board still understand what needs to be done with that midfield.
I actually thought the team that Eddie was putting together was young and exciting. Then the farce over the company car and as usual it all went tits up for us. But you right, John Neal was an oasis in a desert of sh*tness. The seven gifted to Nottingham Forest still resonates with me after all these years.I have 1976 -1980 there were some awful teams, players not the same standard as today's though, but Scott in the modern era you are correct. Welcome to the forum Graham!!!Thought the team played well and a great foundation for future success Zakaria was excellent
You think a few months is too long! Seriously! Honestly I don't 'get' people like you, we have NINE of our first team out, thats NINE, not only has Potter inherited sh*te, he hasn't even had the chance to play the best of the sh*te he has!! Not only that he hasn't seem his team for over a month! You think sacking Potter and putting in somebody else will turn us into title challengers!! I mean really!?I mean how long we gonna stick with this guy, if we saw some progression some implementation of ideas manifesting anywhere then maybe, but he basically took a CL winning squad and the job of an elite manager and turned us into mid table drivel.
Spot on. Bournemouth and Forest were perfect opportunities to start the manning up process. With Hutchinson, the real opportunities were pre-World cup, Potter fumbled the bag with this one. Hutchinson should have taken more risks in the game, sure; but he should have already had games under his belt before being thrown in against a machine like City.
To be fair I think Hutchinson was only on the bench because we have so many injuries at present. In normal circumstances he would probably only expect to get first team minutes in a cup game.Spot on. Bournemouth and Forest were perfect opportunities to start the manning up process.
I'll be honest though I am not massively in favour of throwing promising kids into a team that is bereft of quality, lacking in confidence, and being defeated week in week out. If Foden had been thrown into this team he would never have had the career he has had so far. Being surrounded by de Bruyne, Silva, Gundogan, etc has allowed Foden's talent to blossom.
We do have some really talented youngsters and it would be a crying shame if they fell short due to weak, ineffectual senior players incapable of mentoring them or being an example.
