Disappointing again but not wholly unsurprising

We got top 4 last year because others lost it at the last hurdle Maresca got lucky

We won the conf league but it took Cole not Maresca

We won the CWC again the players did not Maresca

6th or 7th in prem is our level with this coach and that’s despite his management not because of

Two farkin Bob !

 
This is tye exact reason why we will never be a big club. This is done. We've still got 5 more years of this sh*t as well until this mob try and flip the club to the Saudis

Fully deserved by Sunderland. We have been mostly poor this season apart from the Liverpool game. Not sure where we are going this season. we are not going to be contending in the league or Europe for sure. Feels like we have gone backwards like a lot of our play. I doubt Maresca will be shown the door, but we are not going to see improvement with the current set up.

Depressing result.

Got what we deserved.

We have corner in the 90th minute at 1-1 and we take a short one.

Maresca cares more about passing stats than creative or even direct play.

We should sack him tonight but we won't so we've got months of this awful football.

Horrible defeat.

Maresca is doing a big Ange and only cares about the cups.

We have some really great players. I mean we can all argue about which one's we prefer and which one's we don't like as much. But overall our players are all of a very high quality. But the way these players are used/played and the way this formation doesn't change and adapt and the way we keep playing this constipated Maresca football. It is really killing me.

I agree. Hard to look beyond 6th-10th in the league. Maybe we will make the knockout stage in Champs League but doubt we will go far. Even in the domestic cups I am not convinced based on our inconsistent performances.

Not sure i agree. Of the 16 players who festered today i would say Caciedo and James are the only top drawer players. Esteviao is still very young and you feel he will become quality, same with Acheampong.

The other 12? Largely mid table players with the occasional good game in their locker.

 
Fully deserved win for Sunderland. 90 minutes of tapping the ball around sh*te by Chelsea with the likes of Pedro and Enzo f**king diabolical. How on earth Enzo gets 90 minutes playing that poorly is flabbergasting.

The only silver lining for the bald fraud is that he now gets willo the wisp Gusto back after his ban.

Do we really have great players though? Palmer & Caicedo yea, then Colwill, you could maybe say Estevao but he’s way too raw atm.

No matter who comes in, the recruitment has been poor, and it will come all the way back to the sporting directors yet again.

Gusto and Enzo. I think a DNA check is called for. There must be a famly relationship to the manager.

 
I'm still pissed we didn't go for Flick when he was available. He can be crazy but at least fun and excitement are guaranteed.
