Estêvão

Another goal and assist in his final home game for Palmeiras. Can't wait to watch him at Fifa CWC, and for him to join Chelsea. It will be a massive step, and am hopeful with players like Santos back in the mix it helps them settle.

If he's as good as everyone thinks he is, he'll be at Barcelona or Real Madrid in a couple of years. They all end up there.

Yep - the trick will be to get a couple of years good service and sell at the right time.

Managed it perfectly with Eden.

Managed it terribly with Robben

But Robben was always injured with us, and then miraculously he was stalwart when he left us.

Robben would be perfect on the right in Maresca’s system. Was gutted when he left even with his injury record but he wanted out.

His peak years were at Bayern. What a player

Does anyone actually believe he’ll be starting week in week out ahead of Madueke & Neto next season? Think it will take him a while to settle in.

No, he'll take a season to integrate, learn the system, responsibilities, adjust to new country, weather, language. Football will be his escape, but so much change for someone so young will take time.

Nope. He should take his time, get accustomed to the culture. It would be huge to get Thiago to mentor him

If they're playing anything like this season I believe even Maresca wouldn't be able to keep Estevão on the bench for those two.

Realistically it will take some time for him to get up to speed, learn the language/system, but our bar for wingers at the moment is at its lowest imo. We even had to put our hopes on George at some point, and I believe most of us believe he's nowhere ready to play for us yet.

I can actually see a scenario where both of these head out. The fee for Neto might be an obstacle but it really wouldn't surprise me if Amorim tried to link up Neto and Cunha again, if he can offload the clown Antony

Noni to Newcastle seems like a deal that will get done.

He’s not really developed in the two seasons with us. Potential is there but I still think he thinks he’s better than he is.

It all depends on how good he is. If he’s good enough he starts. It’s not like he’s got difficult competition.

I would keep Noni for one more season.. first time he hasn’t been injured much same for Neto.. both have skills to rotate we need one WC winger and can rotate with the 3 of them (Sancho, Noni and Neto)..

Hope not, we have too many games next season to rely on just Palmer and Estevao.

Looked a bit out of his depth last night but always to be expected. We really need to ease him in slowly next season. 1500 mins all comps would be good.
