Favourite 11

[Zeta]

It's probably been done before, but if you could field an 11 (and subs if you want) of former Chelsea players from any era, who would you choose? Not just based on quality, but also on simply you liked the most as Chelsea players.

Mine would probably be:

--------------------------------Cudicini

---Petrescu------------Desailly----------Terry------------Le Saux

--------------------Wise------------------Lampard

-------------------------------Di Matteo

--Zola---------------------------------------------------Joe Cole

---------------------------------Drogba

Subs:

Pidgeley

Gallas (pre Spurs/Arsenal debacle)

Carlton Cole

Morris

Gudjohnsen

Vialli

Flo

[bluegraham]

I can't really change that maybe duff unstead of Cole for me and Ashley instead of le saux. Le saux threw he's shirt at the Chelsea dugout when he had hes first spell here so never really liked him after that

[Nibs]

Going for a mixture of favourite and decent players mine would be along the lines of:

--------------------------------Cech

---Ferrer------------Gallas----------Terry------------Le Saux

--Nevin-----------------Lampard--------------------------Joe Cole

---------------------------Zola-------Gudjohnsen-------------

---------------------------Dixon

Subs:

Too many to mention!!!

[mad_mac]

Not all of us had the joy to see them play!

[mad_mac]

I am basing my selections only off of players I have seen in action

[erskblue]

                             Bonetti

Ron Harris, Desailly, Terry, Le Saux

                  Cooke, Lampard,  Wise

                          Zola

                    Dixon, Drogba

[Charles Ryder]

I normally weigh my elevens with more players from the past, but judging by the criteria outlined in the opening post, I've opted for an xi made up mostly of players I've seen play.

                    Cech

Clarke Carvalho Terry McCreadie

              Lampard Wise

      Nevin      Zola      Mata

                   Tambling

[Tony Hateley]

The king of Stamford Bridge does not get much of a look in. Would Roberto be player/manager?
