How many managers read forums such as this one , if any .

Surely they must browse now and again .

Reason i ask is, are there any managers left who would respect the views or comments from fans to an extent they would look for options that they would even consider using.

I'd love to think so, I really would .. theoretically of course, it's possible that the quiet, unknown forum member who rarely if ever posts is none other than JM, or one of the players perhaps.

The thing about it is ... you can never really know!

I know that 'names' visit busy forums like this

I am sure players and managers do. Lets face it they have more spare time on their hands then the vast majority of us and the players are all in that age bracket that is very much internet savvy (not insinuating anything about you older folk

) and it is only himan nature to have a look at what people are saying about you and the people you know.

So with that in mind. Andy Townsend, the number 23 bus will be passing by the Talksport studio in exactly 6 minutes, kindly step in front of it.

I think we can overrate ourselves on here.

We generally as fans get it wrong more often than we get it right and don't have the deeper understanding of game tactics that managers and many players do. Players/managers may be curious to know what people think of them, but I doubt anything we say here has any bearing on match tactics ever.

Rubbish. It's not that difficult. Score goals and don't concede any. Can't be any harder than that

There is always the off chance that one reads it and it gets him thinking however. I do agree that we overate ourselves, these guys are proffesional's, it's their life calling, but everyone always assumes they know better and could do a far better job than them. It's so easy to sit here and be an armchair critic

@ the subject.

Well I know I do.

I then pass instructions to my fellow colleagues.

"Paolo said we should play in 343. You know what to do now. NEVER ever use the 343."

Well, I guess now is as good a time as any to reveal my true identity
