If I had hair I would be vacuuming the carpet.

At least it is a winning start and at least Palmer, Rogers and Pedro look really bright.

Defensively we have all the composure of @Mod at a Ford Mustang party and a goalkeeper who makes Jimmy Saville look like a safe pair of hands.

If there was a change in the rules that might help us it would be to abolish subs. Ours were utter sh*te.

 
My take away.

Amazing attack.

Don’t think I’ll blame the defence, honestly I like LaCroix and I think the defence will get better when they continue to gel and caicedo is on the pitch.

Otherwise yeah we need to panic buy a goalkeeper asap!

 
Oh look, Neto throwing his arms up shaking his head and just walking back while Fulham counter attacks. God knows how someone of such limited output has such a big ego

Before he came on I was just thinking how much less toxic this team is

Of course within minutes of subbing on, Neto proves otherwise

 
I think this season will be better than last, and more entertaining. But with our collection of defenders and THAT goalkeeper, it will be very frustrating and will limit what we can achieve.

Not so sure selling Enzo is a good idea unless we have someone very very good lined up to replace him. I doubt we do.

He did f**k all when he came on. Don’t really think we will miss him if he’s sold tbh. If anything this game makes me more sure that we should sell him for a cheaper and better midfielder

Cut Neto and Enzo out of this team and we actually have a very likeable group of players and foundation for years to come

Football has got exciting again, I’ll take the odd goal win but in all honesty if it had been 4-4 I couldn’t have argued

Palmer looked sharp

Sanchez looked sh*t

Going forward with the ball we looked good…without the ball susceptible

We at last have a front three to fear

We have a back three to hide behind the sofa, especially with Sanchez in the rear

We now need to build on this, achieve fitness and train hard for reward

 
Martinez is literally available and begging to leave Villa why the f**k are we stuck with Sanchez

 
Very happy with what I’ve seen for first game.

Surely Penders will do for the season, highly rated and better than Sanchez surely?

Attack is immense. I worry about the midfield. Makes no difference if Enzo stays or goes, we desperately need Wharton. Enzo hasn’t got a place in this team, he simply doesn’t fit in. He’s w**k.

Defence looks abit shaky but Josh was very good and surely he’s cemented a first team place. Hes only going to improve, as will Colwill. Lacroix was FANTASTIC. What a debut

 
Going to be a fun season and we'll score tons, but once again the usual suspects in full swing right from the very first match. Gusto is just a bang average full-back, Sanchez is dog sh*te and sorry to say it but as much as I try to find any reasons to believe he is that future superstar in defence, I just can't see that being Acheampong...

Up the Chels! Exciting days ahead.

 
Good start to the season.

Glad to see a return to a more transitional style, and the front 3 look devastating, especially with Palmer back to his best.

Midfield bit concerning, Caicedo makes a big difference and i thought things settled down when Enzo came on. James and Lavia functional, but didnt control the game as i think Alonso wouldve preferred.

Colwill really poor today, Gusto and Hato not our best options at wing back, Josh did okay.

Lacroix was outstanding, really showed what we have lacked in the department.

Sanchez did his best for us to drop points, he is such an average goalkeeper, I 5hink Penders will push him this year.

Possession with purpose. The front 3 are amazing. A goal each,assisting each other.

A new keeper is a must but over all I enjoyed watching them play forward. Play with energy, play for the manager and each other and we also got the win.

We will improve, let’s just keep winning while we learn.

Palmer was excellent.
