Judging from yet another random "Welcome to Chelsea" vid it seems we've got ourselves a Madueke regen, albeit with less output. His highlights finish with him dribbling past a defender and... That's it. It all probably leads to nothing so it gets cut out.

As been mentioned though, problem is not the signing itself, but what's the point if our 5-year project manager just wants to recycle possession indefinitely? It's hard to get excited about any signing at this point.

Apparently it was a double deal, indeed, but Gyokeres is not the other player. It was actually Dario Essugo for 25M.

 
He seems to be highly rated not just another Washington or Datro Fofana so that makes it more acceptable. Also Man Utd fans seemed to think this was an inevitable signing and the next coming of Ronaldo so that makes it even more entertaining.

However is it just me that thinks we could add another £20m and get Gyokeres or even Sesko ? Don’t they both have reasonable buyout clauses?

Looks like we’ve bought another Sporting player. Wasn’t there rumours on the past we wanted to buy Sporting? Might as well now.

You need to look at it less from what we need as a team, more like which player do you think has more potential to increase their value.

Deal agreed for next summer. I don’t understand what the club is trying to do here, even as an investment signing makes no sense. We now have Ugochukwu (20yrs) £20m, Amougou (19yrs) £12m, and Essugo (20yrs) £25m. That is £57m spent on 3 DMs who aren’t ready, when we could have spent the odd £50m on a mid 20s experienced DM who covers a lot of ground, and offers physicality and presence in the middle of the park. We are genuinely missing that profile in midfield.

Sancho/Quenda - Palmer/Madueke Paez/Estevao

I have to assume Guiu, George, Nkunku, felix, mudryk as goner and we don't sign st otherwise this will get even messier.

Jackson is a much better st than neto, Palmer will start so it is basically

Sancho/Madueke /Estevao /Neto/Quenda/Paez fighting for 2 spot.

That still makes us weak at CB, James can't play RB anymore, Veiga isn't really a LB and has been playing CB at Juventus, Estevao is a winger, George isn't anywhere near good enough yet and the strikers are weak.

I've assumed you'll keep Bettinelli and Bergstrom as the 3rd and 4th choice keepers LOL

I've also assumed that Kellyman is still injured for 25/26 (or in the development squad) 😀

I’m the opposite.

This guy needs a lot of development in comparison to Quenda.
