Greetings from Chicago!

[soldiergirl84]

Hello, my name's Jen, and I'm a Chelsea supporter from Chicago.  I got into the Premier League in the 2012-2013 season after watching the tail end of a U19 qualifier between England and Norway (which England won, by the way), and deciding that if I was going to follow football, go with the best league.  I chose Chelsea because I have friends who are supporters, one of the first Premier League matches I watched was a Chelsea match (against Tottenham, I think), and blue is my favorite color I've even been to a Chelsea match (against Fulham at Stamford Bridge on September 21, which they won 2-0). Anyway, I hope to have a lot of fun here.

I love Chicago. Sox or Cubs?

[soldiergirl84]

I love Chicago. Sox or Cubs?

Cubs, I guess.  Fans are more passionate and loyal than Sox fans, who are nothing more than glory hunters.

[mad_mac]

been to, and drank a lot of beer in Chicago.  Love that town.

Welcome

If by passionate you mean drunk frat boys who don't watch the game or know anything about baseball then yes

[Scott]

What's that on your head?

[soldiergirl84]

What's that on your head?

I am holding a replica of the Champions' League trophy.  The picture was taken at a pub in London that I went to after the Chelsea match I saw in September.

Being from the windy city do you talk like a mobster from a gangster movie?

No, I speak like someone who has actually graduated from high school, unlike the dimwits I work with.

Ahhhh, Chicago... I will go back someday, hopefully in the not too distant future. Too much I haven't seen yet or want to re-visit.

[Cech Yourself]

Glad to see another from the USA. Welcome!

[Valerie]

Plenty of US members here!
