Harry Redknapp is one of the five people who were arrested as part of the City of London Police's investigation into football corruption today. The Portsmouth manager is being held at Chichester Police Station on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and false accounting.

Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric, Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie, agent Willie McKay and Charlton midfielder Amdy Faye were the others arrested.

Just hope that Harry isn't involved in anything dodgy,he is much more than a 'wheeler dealer'.

A really top bloke,under-rated manager and in my opinion should be the England manager.

Agree with that, one of the most likeable blokes in football management,

would be my choice for England if we were going to stay with an Englishman....unless they would take Glenn back, I know he's a bit of a wierdo but I think we played some good stuff with him in charge and England as well.

[glory55]

Hoddle was great for England, many do seem to over look that fact!

And for him to be sacked for non footballing reasons was shocking, but he shouldn't have said what he said!

Harry would be a great choice, and im convinced that we need a English manager that has experience.

He fits the bill.....(pardon the pun)

[Lofty]

Notice who was sitting next to 'arry when they show the item on the News?

[BLUENUT]

he is much more than a 'wheeler dealer'.

Thats what the old bill reckon aswell.

Red-tapp is one of the most bent men in football. Have you seen the programme with Danny Dyer in, where he plays an agent and Ray Winstone plays his father - the manager. I'd say it's loosly based on Redknapp - bent as you like.

There was more money betted on him leaving Southampton returning to Pompey than there was in the previous years FA cup. He's bent and been caught with his hand in the til!

Yeah and did you see Bobby Moore in escape to victory?

can't believe a bloke thats been in a POW camp would be allowed to Captain England

[BLUENUT]

If you knew the 'real' reason he parted company with West Ham you'd know what I'm on about!

Where exactly did the money go when they sold Ferdinand?

*cough...cough*

Thats the thing mate, I probobly dont know the "real" reason he parted company with Wet,

looks like I miss out on a lot of the inside information you get hold off

and Bluenut....I was Joking and dont really give a toss if he bought a share in a female mud wrestling and Dwarf throwing Company from Borats home town.

I like the bloke.

[BLUENUT]

It's alright I got the joke mate.

Very very likeable fella, but bent all the same

He couldn't have a fiddle managing England as there's no transfers to deal with, but getting arrested the day before the FA meet to discuss the next England manager, goes some way to ruling him out of the discussions!

yeah certainly not a great addition to his impressive CV.

Sods law for him though, assuming he was ever on the FAs shortlist

[Barn]

Redknapp and Storrie have been the most bent duo in football for years - in my opinion and I base that on heresay and nothing else (they were a crap pop group but told great story's about 'Arry and his boss).

The deals they done at Westham were nothing short of shocking, and as a result harry became one of the least successful managers to become obscenely rich that the game has ever seen, and that wasn't all down to betting on the horses.

I'm a bit disappointed because I thought he could be ready to step up to international football and manage England but I'm generally glad when theiving gits get their comeuppance!

Barn I think you're being a bit over critical there mate,

Kim Ryder had a voice like a nightingale and The one that went in I'm a celebrity can do no wrong in my book

[BLUENUT]

Another point.

Just an example.

What odd's would you get on Wenger leaving Arsenal and becoming the next Spurs manager? (100/1?) Once he took the job, what odd would you get on him being the next Arsenal manager again (100/1?)- It's effectively what happened when he (Arry) left Pompey for their rivals.

100/1 x £10 = £1000

100/1 x £1000 = £100,000

If you know when the cards are stacked it's a nice return for a tenner bet. (No suprise Mandric has been questioned aswell!)

[Barn]

As I say my opinions are based on nothing more than hearsay but most of my mates are westham fans and from what I know when Arry and Storrie were in charge there, an awfull lot of money seemed to go missing!

[BLUENUT]

When they sold Ferdinand for 18m they bought alot of over-priced average replacements, see if you can find out who their agent was

[Enrico]

Wasn't he sold for 30?

[loz]

He went to Man Utd from Leeds for £30m - he went from West Ham to Leeds for £18m

Looked at this post with some amazement a couple of days ago. Couldn´t believe that so many on here were upset for "poor old loveable´Arry". Came back on tonight and relieved to see Barn and Bluenut talking sense at last. I´ve got mates who support West Ham and it´s common knowledge that Harry and that tw*t Storrie are totally bent (allegedly).

I certainly wouldn´t buy a used car (or footballer) off either of the c**ts...
