If Mourinho goes...

and you dont think he plays up to it? As i said, he is genuinely emotional, but f**k he plays up to it. even that sh*te he came up with about not speaking to the media again this season is all about the attention.

I think its got some reason behind it, deflecting attention away from his players, but i dont like to watch it, it is often cringeworthy.

Rob

if you were being entirely honest though you would accept that most managers and players say a lot of things that make you cringe, whether it be down to wingeing or total hypocrisy.

Carragher, for instance, with his claims of not being a club who complain because you have more dignity than to do that, then in his next breath moaning like a granny in a post office.

Benitez with his moaning about Robben going down too easily then flatly denying Gerrard dived when he clearly did.

dont get me wrong, i know too well that what you are saying is true, i was merely pointing out that i dont beleive his celebrations to be whole heartedly genuine.

I dont mind Benitez criticising Robben because he is a f**king disgrace, and i dont mind him defending Gerrard because i am a hypocrite who feels very comfortable in these rose tinted spectacles. He did also criticise Luis Garcia for diving to get that west ham players sent off at upton park in the league last season, to give him credit.

It would do...to you.
I'm afraid it does to me too. There's a touch of the "look at me everybody" about Mourinho.

He loves Chelsea about as much as he loved Porto and will love his next club. It's not a criticisim of him but there is no reason at all for him to feel any emotional attachment to the club - and I doubt he does.

Even when we won the Carling Cup he was overjoyed, jumping around the place, holding 5 fingers in the air. 5 fingers I was thinking. Why is that? Have Chelsea won 5 Carling Cups? Is it 5 months since we last won something? No. He was thinking only of himself. When he started with his David O'Leary chest thumping routine I was wishing we could watch the players celebrate for a change.
I take your points, Liam, but could it be that you have never really seen Jose in a favourable light since Duffer left?

But why is there no reason for him to feel an emotional attachment to the club? He has said that English football fans are the best in Europe, so he has the support of all the Chelsea fans, he said he has fallen in love with Chelsea, the fans and English football, we won the league twice in a row against almost everyone's wishes in Europe and the media hate us. All these things would have definitely created an emotional attachment to the club.
I don't see that in him Loud and Proud. These are only words. He's a clever man and he knows what he's at. He's been brilliant for Chelsea, there's no doubt about that and he'll be brilliant for Real Madrid when he goes there. And in his first press conference in Madrid he'll repeat how much he loves Chelsea, and how sad he was to leave, and he'll never refer to Chelsea in those terms again.

It's fair enough. It's a job for him and he's loyal to his employers until the next set of employers and fans come along.
There is a part of me that understands what your saying but i hope you're wrong.

aargh I see, so what you are saying is that your manager sets lower standards for your captain then he does your squad players.

Was this part of the deal that made 'Liverpool till I die' Steven Gerrard decide to postpone his move away from the club he allegedly loves.

That Rafa - great man management skills

There's no doubt that upset me and still does. I don't blame Mourinho for the move though - I blame Duffer for lacking the courage and the ambition to stay and fight for his place. I don't think Mourinho was necessarily good for Duffer though.

However I've been twatting on about Mourinho's attention seeking since before he even joined the club.

As long as he keeps winning and brings us trophies like he has done, I dont give a rat's arse as to whether he is a attention seeking whore or whatever. He is a great manager and has been great for Chelsea. End of

In my opinion Liam is one of the few here that's got Mourinho's personality spot on from day one, including his egocentric view of the universe.

This is also more or less my opinion.

The fact that he has made Chelsea a winning team makes it bearable, however, it's undisputable for me that he's a "fast burner".

Bases his work on a psychological shock therapy method, wich brings fruits on a short term, and maybee even stretching it to a medium term (3 to 4 years ?), but will unavoidably have it's end.

Ocasionaly he's amusing, even witty, but most of the time behaves like a spoiled bratt.

It's not that I cared that much. Bring on those trophies, yes.

But lately it is becoming a bit too much. Rift with Roman, rift with this, rift with that...when and where will it stop, and most importantly, what repercussions will it have on the future ? (think of what happened to Porto since he left)

Then, there's always the losy performances thing...

Equally, when we won the league, he let all the players take centre stage, and phoned his family from the dugout, so he's not exactly all me me me, is he...
My memory is of him throwing his medals into the crowd.

Anyway if he'd wanted to phone his family why not go somewhere that there are no cameras, the changing room for example.

Tim, I just don't like this aspect of him and never did. I can never see any good in this aspect of his personality. When he's in the dugout phoning his family it seems to me he's saying "look at me everybody - phoning my family" I disliked him from the first time I saw him up and down the touchline in Old Trafford. Then his "look at me everybody" staged non-celebration of Porto's Champions League win. Everything he has done since his arrival at Chelsea has cemented my dislike of this side of him.
Is he a paranoic?? It`s celebration.... There are cameras everywhere, except some dark and smelly places....

And what do you want from him?? Acting like wenger?? Sitting and sadly watching, getting up sometimes to moan about referees and jumping like a kid when Arse scores???

When a player scores a goal he can do anything to say :"Look at me! It`s me!!! It`s my goal!! I`m happy!!!".......

So if manager wins tournament I think it`s the same situation.. But Mourinho is not a kid or a schoolboy he can`t afford jumping, sliding, kicking corner flags and dancing. So I believe he`s doing everything right, he`s acting like a man.

Hypothetically, if Mourinho was to leave Chelsea at the end of the season, i'm sure he would love to take Terry, Lampard and Drogba to his next club.

However, I doubt Inter Milan or anyone else who snaps up Jose would be able to afford the MINIMUM 100 million pounds it would take to sign those three, not to mention afford to pay them a MINIMUM of 100k each per week in wages.

I remember the day i first heard Jose use the expression 'Yes im special '' my first thoughts were , well you better deliver mate....... And guess what .

Yes J.M. has an ego , yes he is a self centered attention seeking tosser , he's full of sh*te a lot of the time but he's also a good manager but you have to admire his media skills .
