If my blood was not Blue...

I'd go for Man City as I've always likened them to us - with them being our Northern equivilent for many years. Just as we struggled to be the big London club with Arse & Spurs, they have always been in the shadows of the Northern giants- Utd, Liverpool & Everton and Leeds (ha - how the mighty fall).

And I like them even more after the 6-0 thrashing

I suppose if the club went out of business it's possible I'd pay more attention to Scottish football or maybe some non-league team, but even so it couldn't ever be the same as supporting the club. Support is a long term. life time thing not something you decide to do based on results, league position, management or playing staff or anything else. Except perhaps for a name change. If the corporate nightmare of a name change to, say ... West London United sponsored by Adidas were to take place then I'd be off.

I've always had a bit of a fondness for Brentford, aside, of course, from the only team.

It would have to be my village team. Why support other sh*t when I can walk 400 yards to watch it in my village?

To me this question is like "What would you do if you woke up dead?" impossible to answer!

During a lifetime you can experience many things that bring you great joy and equal torment, friendships, jobs, family, wives, girl/boyfriends etc. but if the torment with any of these becomes too extreme you can just walk away and find something less stressful, but with Chelsea you can't do that no matter how much you may want to, it is like a bad addiction to some form of self torture or abuse, sometimes you can find yourself in pure ecstasy for days on end while at other times you question your sanity because the pain and depression and sheer frustration is seemingly too much to bare and you want to break the chains and set yourself free from it forever but you know you never will because you simply can't.

And then just when you think you might at last have reached the end of your tether the pain goes away and the warm feeling of goodness returns again (sometimes only fleetingly?) and once more you realise there is no escape from this illness called "Chelsitus" so all you can do is resign yourself to a lifetime of highs and lows, frustration and fulfillment, cheers and tears. I don't believe any other club in football could ever deliver these in equal measures the way Chelsea do so the question "what if my blood were not blue" is irrelevant because it is and there is nothing any of us can do about it.

Not impossible.

If you wake up dead then you have become a politician

Colchester United, my local team as a lad. I used to go to Col U when Chelsea were away and they were at home through the late 70's and early 80's before leaving that area to become a student in 1983.

Living in North Staffs now, if I was choosing a team, I'd go for either Crewe Alex or AFC Telford - and have been tempted to start following one of them at times when I've become disillusioned with the whole EPL (Premiership prima-donnas) thing!

No surprises from me.

It's got to be the mighty Kingstonian FC.

Currently 3rd in Ryman div 1

Famous haters of the Sutton Utd scum

Famously uncomfortable with being tenants in our own ground, now owned by AFC

Well my Brother has great delight in telling anyone he meets... As a child I admired from a far ..(no! I did not support them ).... cringes as he says it ... Nottingham Forrest, it was a Clough thing.

Chelsea only, can't pull for anyone else. Interesting fact though.....In the film "Goal" they chose Newcastle as the club in the script, because they were seen as the least "hated" team by other fans in the English League. That is, outside of Sunderland, every other team seems to "not really mind them at all"
