Many's the time I watched Alan Hudson chase back 60 yards to collect the ball, beat his man, stop to light up a Woodbine, dribble round a couple of opposition midfielders, take a long slurp of Guinness, pass the ball to Ossie, then shag a dolly bird on the touchline - those were the days!

Claude Makalele. I love Kerry, Zola, Ossie etc, and they rank as my top 3 fave players of all time (with Wee Pat a close 4th), but I think we're missing the steel, world class positioning and defending, and the quick/smart distribution of Claude. He was a critical component of the title winning teams....and we have yet to replace him. The 4-2-3-1 formation requires a player like him, and Mikel is not quite good enough.

Just one has to be Zola he's be perfect in this system, I would say though we'd then have too many attacking players as we do anyway so I'd probably agree with Maka
