He wrote some brilliant stuff with the Beatles, but he hasn't half churned out some utter sh*te since. The Frog Chorus, Mull of Kintyre, Ebony and Ivory... :evil:

I can't blame you. It is one of those songs that are so bad that they're good.

Though I got a bit of a chock when I saw the vid. At first I thought the singer was a girl but apparently he wasn't

For those too young to remember ever seeing this or even heard it before , this is the song that reached cult status amongst myself and my friends when we were about 14. Its also the clip that had my entire family rolling around the living room with laughter at first glance. So the question remains , is this the worst ever song recorded ?, is it up there with Rene and Renato , Joe Dolche , Mr Blobby ? Personally i think its a classic :beatdeadhorse:

As the CSR's official Beatles nut, there is a defence for this.

Macca had just written and released, prompted by Bloody Sunday, a wee ditty called 'Give Ireland Back To The Irish' which was immediately banned by the BBC.

In a fit of pique he released 'Mary Had a Little Lamb' very quickly afterwards as an insult to the Beeb and as a two fingered gesture to the establishment.

Unfortunately, as witnessed by 'When I'm 64', 'Obladi-Oblada' etc, he's rather good at writing kiddy songs and this charted immediately, leaving behind it any vestage of political capital or biting wit.
