Half time and no improvement. All the England fans who have paid out for flights, hotels and match tickets to see a football game surely have a case for a refund under the terms of the Trades Descriptions Act.

Barry Fry would be ashamed if his team played as poorly as that!

 
Sahar on with 20 mins to go - ENgland still appalling although very much dominant in terms of possession now. No changes from Mclaren whatsoever - Rooney being totally bossed by Tal Ben Haim. I would get him off for Defoe (Johnson been one of the few bright points in the game)

 
A fair question Cloakey - England are certainly not being manaaged by a football manager! Doninating possession but failing miserably to break them down - McLAren's master switch is? Richards on for Neville and that is it. Nothing else. Jesus wept (he is at the match)!

 
and then when he does make an attacking change he brings on Defoe for the effective Johnson ane leaves on the totally hopeless Rooney.

 
If I had my way I would have his passport robbed so he couldn't get home from Israel!

 
Its games like this why many fans put club before country.

I didn't even see the match, but I know exactly how we played.

I hope no one gets offended, because it's always easy to critisize the others, but England seemed like a bunch of guys just about to retire, who don't give a damn about the shirt.

They looked as if they want the whole "national squad thing" off their shoulders ASAP. You are in a deeeep need of motivation. Hell, even JT looked as if he was about to take a nap out there.

 
What a dire display, the most entertaining thing was the 15 minutes I got to see of Toy Story 2 on the BBC during half time.

England were toothless. Some people on this forum may already be aware my feelings of distain about Mr Mediocre Owen Hargreaves but tonight he was worse than ever. There was no need for him to be on the pitch, he offered nothing going forward and as England's supposed version of Maka he seldom wins the ball or offers an outlet to the defence. I ask you, what is the point in him.

For me Steve McLaren made a huge tactical error when he took of Lennon for Downing, the best thing he could have done then was take off Hargreaves for Downing, move Stevie Me into the middle alongside Lamps and told Lennon to go wide right. We would have stretched Isreal and been able to get in behind them, but no Hargreaves had to stay on and continue to do f*ck all.

Oh yeah and on the club vs country question, club get's my vote.

You're behind me in the queue - I have been slating him since he was a nipper in Canada skinning beaver.

I have said it before and I will say it again - I am beginning to regret JT being appointed ENgland captain as it is a dismal England set up to have to own up to captaining, I only hope McLaren is gone sooner rather than later and JT gets the chance to lead his country with something better than useless at the helm. I am beginning to miss Sven!!

 
Well dont know about you guys but perfect result for me, couldnt decide who i wanted to win although if im honest i was more behind england than israel..

Any way yet another example of how cluless maclaren is, what ever israle offerd england should be good enough to beat them! but didnt even look close and it would have actually been harsh on israel if they had won. Its times like this i feel the need to point out the CV upon which the CV have decided to make the appointment of maclaren on.

And the reason i think he got the job..... has the ability to throw on masimo maccerone (8 million signing) in the dying minitues of a game to help save things!!!!

however, why a manager that has achieved so little, is a terrible judge of player, has no tactical or motivational abilitys was given the job is supprising not beyond me... FACT the FA need some one they can control, history shows this and on the few occations some one with a bit of bite was given the job they saw the door at the earliest possible oportunity.

Totally agree. Lennon was one of the few bright spots.

Probably the only the only player we had capable of beating an opponent. And when he lost it, he had the nous to go and try win it back.

 
lennon should have been switched to the right by half time... and where was gareth barry?

I'll remember this game only for 2 moments- sahar coming on- wow a (almost) chelsea produced youth player becomes a full international at 17... and lamps, with a great dive sure to be forgotten while we mock gerrard and lambast drogba or robben.
