I have been impressed. as just says, you can see the touches are there- I've also hardly seen him put a pass wrong and early on, when jose kept giving him 10 mins at the top of the diamond you could see he could well be capable of some clever forward passing.his attitude needs to be worked on, by many accounts off the pitch and we've seen a couple of times on it, but in general the criticism of his play on these forums leaves me astounded, but lots of people don't really know what they are talking about.

G4, that said, would you now start playing Mikel ahead of Ballack?

no. but I'd more of an effort to think about how the midfield is meant to function before setting out the side. often I get the impression that it's thrown togethether with no "rhyme or reason".
