Funny thing about this was he gave him his debut v Oberhausen in a preseason friendly but he never made a competitive appearance under him. The kid was sold by Leverkusen to their sister club Salzburg last season for €2m. Leverkusen bought him back earlier this month for €8m because of interest in him, and want to quickly flip him.

He is nowhere near ready for a role at Chelsea, probably needs at a minimum 2 seasons of first team football. Don’t understand why Strasbourg aren’t buying him instead. Atlanta were buying him for a fee of €30m including add ons before we got involved.

See if we can sort out any purchase then loan back to Bayer. I don’t have any faith in Gittens.

 
Hmm, as @markpitts mentioned, makes more sense for Strasbourg given the context.

Feel the same about Gittens. Rafael Leao would be an interesting one, publicly asking to leave Milan, Milan now despise him.. Galatasary tried £25m it got rejected and they gave up, Milan desperate to get rid. If he was willing to drop his wages (won’t be too crazy in Serie A anyway) and put a shift in, it would be an interesting one. Just not sure if his ego could deal with not being a straight first teamer, redemption arc or not.

Wait till you find out Kvaratskhelia has a 16yr old brother who plays same LW with Dinamo Tbilisi, same penetrating dribbling style, and played Conference league qualifiers this week, and was brilliant.

Was Bayern bound, had trials but they can’t sign him till he is 18yrs.

Hell No! Wouldn’t take him on a free.

Should have left Serie A 5 yrs ago. He has peaked now, on going downhill.

Personally don’t rate either Neto or Gittens, but you can see where he stands presently.

I admittedly know nothing about this player, but I really am not fussed about missing out on another 18 year old. We have heaps of those.

 
I wonder if we were waiting for funds to arrive before we bought this guy. Maybe we need to save some by for the Scott or Wharton deal.?

Eghbali could be keeping these jokers on a tighter reign. If anyone can goof on FFP or whatever it is now called,.....we can!

Maybe Alonso was cooler on this than our player trading geniuses and they cant say "go" unless Mr Alonso gives them the green light.

There's a million reasons why we aren't getting him. Who knows.

Fans have been played again. One good week signing Rogers and Lacroix, and since then they have failed to sell anybody, missed out on Stones, missed out on Alajbegovic and signed two 36 year olds.

I really don't want to defend anyone at Blueco, but presumably players themselves have a say in picking their next club as well. Sometimes a different club might seem more attractive to them.

Hang on, he is an 18yr old kid no one knew about 3mths ago. We can’t just keep signing every talent that pops up every season, without developing the ones on our books. We already have Rogers, Gittens, Quenda, and Satpaev can also operate on the left.

Kerim needs guarantees and proper game time, which he won’t get here.
