Members' experience of buying tickets under the new system

I like womens football particularly Chelsea women. I could be accused of glory hunting but i cannot accept that nobody likes it or words to that effect.

AJMurphy can wriggle all he she or it likes with a choice of words but its all bollox to me, hey women are gonna get to vote soon im sure of it!😂

Bloody hell. No wonder you were annoyed. As you say, how are members supposed to buy tickets when they are being sold to tourists. You know where I sit and it's the same old crowd around me although I'm sure when I was queueing to get into the ground there were a few tourists but I can't prove it.

So much for the club saying tickets should go to real fans.

Absolute con this tier 1/tier 2 crap. I paid £60 for the tier 1 and I still am put in this ridiculous queue, where by the time I am put through, tickets are sold out. I would have just bought the Tier 2 membership if I knew it would be like this. Absolute con. I will be requesting a refund. Happened with me against Brighton and now Sunderland. Will have to go through ticket exchange.

The tiers were created to con members. They don’t make any sense.

 
Anyone tried to get the CL bundkes today? Absolutely sh*tshow. I tried from my phone at 10 and 14 and all I got was a message of “unusual activity” when trying to log in. And, when I didn’t get that message, I couldn’t see the ticket bundles for purchase other than the “hospitality“ ones. These Americans are scamming us, the c**ts.

Details in the link. I may try for tickets but if they are only for a hospitality won't bother. All a bloody fiasco buying tickets.

Those tickets for A**x game are also the same price as the Benfica game. Very expensive in deed. £78 per ticket which is almost twice the price of the ticket for Man City vs Dotmund - £45 for adult and £22.50 for under 18. My son is Man City fan and member so I will take him to that game which will cost £67.50 for both of us than paying £78 for just one adult ticket and I haven't added travel costs. I paid £78 for the Benfica game because of Mourinho. No chance I am going to pay that again, paving the way for not renewing my membership next season. I leave it to the tourists.

In the end I wasn't able to apply for a ticket as was busy at work. Glad I didn't given what you've written that the ticket was £78. A ridiculous amount and especially given what you will pay for you and your son to watch Man. City. Another example of Chelsea trying to force out long standing fans and pamper to the corporates and hospitality. Given the fiasco with memberships this season I wonder how many people won't renew memberships at the end of this season.

I always hear the same, "I won't renew my membership", "if my ST increases in price I won't be able to renew", etc but we're all fools for Chelsea and always end up renewing it. I guess that most do it because of the good times we have with the people we go with to the games.

When we meet up we'll talk about the match and football for a while and then discuss other - and usually more interesting - stuff.

However, I wonder if the club wants old gits like me as we don't spend much in the ground.

With their high prices I dont think they are encouraging the youth to attend matches either. With this trend it will be old gits like you attending matches not purely for football but to meet up with mates after matches to discuss more interesting stuff :)

When will the tickets for the Barcelona match be sold? It is 10 days left and nothing is said on the club website about tickets sale for this game. Or are all tickets sold now?

Daft not selling match by match especially when you can buy tickets for the women's CL matches on a match by match basis. Also with buying bundles you have the hassle of forwarding tickets or putting them on the exchange if you can't go to a game.

The club's ticketing policy is baffling to say the least.

 
The current state of affairs is honestly nuts. They’re selling Champions League tickets in bundles at around £800 for just two games in Westview, and they want £500+ for Arsenal. Members have absolutely no hope of building enough loyalty points to even get a sniff of a season ticket at this rate.

A quick look on SeatPick shows 200+ tickets available for Barcelona, starting at £650, which tells you everything. The bottom line is exactly what we all feared: poor atmosphere, local fans priced out, and the club drifting further away from its core support. Sadly, nothing new.

Are people able to login to their ticket account at the moment? @Boyne ? I'm being blocked when I try to get into my account. I'm not in the UK at the moment, but it shouldn't be an issue, should it?

@RMH I can login from both my laptop and android phone. Are you running a VPN? Might be worth disabling the VPN and then try logging in. In the past I had to disable the VPN to allow me to login. Strange thing is VPN is running on both my laptop and phone.

Thanks for the quick reply! No, I'm not using any vpn. I'm away from the UK at the moment, so that may be it, but I can log in on my iPhone when I use 5G instead of the wifi. I'm at my in-laws at the moment, using their wifi, so it might be that the Club's website doesn't like their IP address (?). I've contacted the club about it, so will update when/if they send me a useful reply.
