Watch the Champions League games next week, creepy kids dressed as refs, leading both teams out. Bet they're the ones who get bullied at school as well

 
Wow......there is just so much I want to know now.  Do they apply to be ref's mascots or do they just find out on the day that they've drawn the short straw?  Can you imagine?

 
The FA continually trying to make women's football happen. Blatter was pilloried for some of his comments but if you want to make it grow then you need to make it sexier.

But selling it only on its sporting merits is never going to happen.

 
They never publish attendance figures for ladies football. I'm guessing the only spectators are the girlfriends of the players

 
Although the average attendance at the last Women's World Cup was 26,428!

Talk about perpetuating the stereotype of football fans.  Ironic, given the media coverage yesterday and today about sexism in football.  Grow up.

What on Earth are you on about? :laugh2:

Men's football and footballers are sold on their sex appeal and I've seen female members of this board talk about Jose in that manner so why can't women's football do the same? 

Fact is the quality of the actual football is of too low a level to attract fans despite the FA's best efforts. Jeez.

There’s a difference between finding someone attractive and saying that a sportsperson needs to be marketed as sexy to get a following.  There is a whole host of reasons why women’s football is not popular but the lack of the players’ sexiness isn’t one of them.  And to suggest that all women footballers are lesbians – well, as you say Jeez.

 
Jokes are usually funny.  Sorry I missed the humour - it was difficult to find.

 
The difference is Beerqueen follows football, supports Chelsea and as a side note finds a footballer attractive. 

To suggest that female footballers NEED to be attractive for the sport so succeed is a totally different kettle of fish. Suggesting they're all lesbians is even worse. As if a woman who plays sport automatically makes them a lesbian... give over. 

 
Got better things to do than get drawn into a puerile debate on what is OK to laugh at.

Ps is this a football forum or a women's lib convention?
