If you get a chance, type in 'Modern Warfare 2 Gameplay' into Youtube, and there's a hd vid of a guy playing through the whole of the Arctic looking mission. Looks absolutely jaw dropping. I cant wait.

Yup, looks really really promising and a great follow up to the fourth installment.

It does go like that, but it's the follow up to the fourth, because World at War was set back in WW2 and not in a modern era type of scenario.

Plus you've got the whole thing with the development alternating between Infinity Ward and Treyarch.

Yes, so that they can come out with a new one once a year and each studio doesn't have to feel rushed to get a product out.

Infinity Ward by a country mile.

They made the new engine for the recent Call of Duties, and Treyarch copied them and added nothing, in fact took away from some of the charm from Modern Warfare.
