A few reports seem to say he has a "minor knock" which I hope is just a bit of need for rest with Ecuador already having qualified. I was a little annoyed that he wasn't subbed off for Essugo in the West ham game.

I thought the same thing about the West Ham game, every chance we get we should protect/rest him. He’s so important for us.

Yep, and this should apply to every player. I think Enzo has played too many minutes already this season and has looked visibly exhausted after every game.

We've got quality midfielders now, there is no excuse for Maresca not to use them.

We need him for Bayern and United so leaving him out of Brentford is not a bad idea.

 
Cole and Enzo got their rest now. Ecuador play a meaningless match against Argentina, wish the club would get in touch with the Ecuadorian FA and ask for a favour to sit Caicedo out for this match as well.

 
Got sent off vs Argentina so misses first match at the WC for Ecuador.

Looks like two yellows. Not ideal. Selfishly for Chelsea was 50th minute, so saves 40-50 mins of time on his legs. Hurry back to London.

Enzo was also suspended, so we should be ok for an 8pm Saturday kickoff. Wonder if Lavia will make the bench Saturday.

Wish it was applied still to the friendlies as it used to be. He will now get called up to the next pointless international break in a couple of months...

Can't wait for this meaningless international breaks to be reorganised somehow, that many breaks in the period of September to December is just incredibly stupid. And on top of that you have stubborn NT managers that play important players against amateur National teams, risking fatigue and injuries. Don't know who the f**k enjoys international football, I personally hate it.

 
Caciedo has just had this fitted to his strip. Enzo Fernandez has to pay the bill after every game.

This whole situation pisses me off; he is being played as a water carrier to accommodate Enzo. Gives me flashback of Mikel being used as “5” by Jose even though he was as “10”

Brighton were fluid in their approach; sure when he was next to McAllister in a 2 he played deeper, but McAllister was intelligent enough not to leave him playing as a 1-man midfield. When he was paired with Bissouma, Gilmour, Dahoud & Gross (atimes) he played the box-2-box 8.

He never played as an 8 or a 10, he did the exact same job as he does for us.

Got to feel sorry for him. Been carrying Fernandez for months. He should have a taxi meter attached to his back.
