Around 7-8 years ago , opposite their current ground their was a pub (closed down a few years ago), which had a large poster up in the window which in cap letters read FORGET NOTHING, FORGIVE NO-ONE. Says it all really.
cant wait for the next spam wall meeting then

I was in Melbourne 2008 when Chelsea met the y*ds in the Carling Cup Final, watched it at the Charles Dickens pub, all y*ds - no Chelsea
Yer, but it was your World Cup Final. We had won the Premiership(2) League Cup (2) Fa Cup (2) since you last won anything. So your glory hunting fans paid £500 a ticketto go in Club Wembley.............Yes I know i bit!!!

Calm down, I'm not interested in cyber battles, it was just a roundabout question to melbourne blue whether they had an oz following out there. I know a lot of London clubs use the same pub down under as their base.

I'm in Melbourne as well live in Mentone been here since 1999,I do believe there's a bit of a supporters club that meet up in certain pubs for games, not that i've been along to any though. I'm sure Melbourne Blue know's alot more than me about this. Good place Melbourne many similiarites to London in a lot of ways, Although i still miss family and freinds but there is always some kind of downside to emigrating.

Strange you call yourself Marmion, as it's a suberb of Perth

I know Australia well and was never taken by Melbourne with its changeable weather, although the trams were a useful way of getting around the city. Good for sport though. I lived in St Kilda when I was out there.

Liked Brizzie and Sydney best ( was there when the Cronulla race riots kicked off) although Adelaide was in credit. Perth was boring and isolated, although it helped having loads of ex pats . Made me appreciate blighty as the Aussies are a pretty odd, insular bunch.

Right first of all there were about 25 of us in the pub, 20 of who stood at the bar all night.  Maybe you were too p*ssed to notice.

Yes there were 100 or so Spuds there.  Some of you were intent on filling us in, but this didn't happened becasue you lot celebrated in the end and we dispersed.

Thereafter, we started to get Melbourne Chelsea organised and the next time we played we outnumbered the Spuds.  One of your leaders even wrote on your website "for the first time in years we were outnumbered by the Blue scum"

That happened most times after that and then we both left the Dickens and moved our HQs to different pubs.

On at least 2 occasions that Spurs have outnumbered Chelsea in Melbourne venues, or one of ours has been in your pub with his Spurs mate, a CFC bloke has been threatened. We don't do this when we have the numbers like for the 5-1 semi where we both had to watch in the Dickens.

Some of your members use the OZspurs website to slag us off.  One of them is an SBS reporter who called us c*nts on that website.  That bloke has had a couple of opportunities to do that to my face and has not done so.  But his words stir up the hatred which results in CFC being threatened if they walk into your pub.

So a few of us, all chaps, went into your pub the Imperial the other day before the Spurs Chelsea match was shown.  We made ourselves known, asked around for the reporter, then left in time to get ot our pub to watch the game. Nobody laid a finger on us, let alone even looked us in the eye once they knew we were there.

Bunch of cowards Melbourne Spurs.  Pick on the bloke alone but not a group of former North Stand types.

We don't really want to bring former hatreds to Oz with us. We get on well with Melbourne Arse and even attend functions with them.  They hate CFC but they are decent enough fellas.  Same with Celtic actually.  We even had 2 tables at their anti-cancer function in memory of Tommy Burns, which is 2 more tables than any other English supporters club here.

"We get on well with Melbourne Arse"

That's probably why they don't like you.

it was in 1974, poor crowd of 23,000 or so. We were 1-0 down and it should have been 4 or 5. We won 2-1 with Ron Harris scoring with a long shot. There were not many Chelsea there and were in the Park Lane and turned up late. The shelf and the paxton all came round to have a go. Lights went out a few minutes from the end but the result stood.

That was an interesting night in the Park Lane followed by an equally interesting walk back to 7 Sisters.

Just go on our Melbourne CFC facebook sites for info about meet ups.  There's 2 sites, one for those who support Chelsea, and another for those CFC who are active and turn up to functions. If you can play football we have a side entered at futsal in South Oakleigh on Sunday nights and another at Footscray on Wednesday nights.  We also have a kick around some Sundays and I think we are playing West Ham in a couple of weeks.  Was spicy last time, and we won the fight and the match  , But all friendly now.....I think.

A follower of our dear cousins in North London saying we had more than you in Mmelbourne. Are you for real ? .This is England not a convicts paradise.

No cyber war.from a team that always changed its end or side for you were always run out of it.at least you lot stood for a full minute at the Ifield even again with numbers more to your liking.

 See you later.Merry Christmas also.
