Next Coach?

There's no way the SDs would change their approach and go for someone like Alonso after spending billions on their previous approach. That would be admitting to their boss that they shat the bed.

The only way I see Alonso coming is if there's a will from BlueCo to give Fallows more control and set aside Laurel and Hardy.

That being said I firmly believe what others have said, it's all media spins to appease the fans until the season is done, after which they'll get us another underwhelming manager.

It might not be the SDs decision. We can but hope.

I'm trying to work out if you considered the neurodiversity of the author (me) before you decided to mock, I promise it's easier for you to understand what I mean't then it is for me to spell it.

... so you 5 sporting directors can fight to the death.
If they did this, like, literally - a Hunger Games style program on Chelsea TV - it would be both a huge revenue-generator and pacify the fans to a significant degree. Feels like an unmissable opportunity right there.

"It's day 3 in the arena and today we release the tigers."

So the owners and directors are useless pricks, bag of w**k pricks right? However as much as they are up their own arses smelling each others farts, there's no way on gods green earth they don't see their plans blowing up in their faces. As much as I not falling for the whole "self reflection" PR, there must be some realisation that they need to change their direction going forward. They must see that managers are leaving, players are revolting and the fans are sick to the teeth with it all. Even if they are as thick as pig sh*t they must see everything's going to the dogs. We're losing out to Brighton and Bournemouth for a 6th place finish for Christs sake. If that aint a wake up call then destroying the club deliberately is the only conclusion I can come to.

Now I'm not getting carried away by any stretch with the "self reflection" but if they could start to reign in the controlling and over managing, they could alter the all youth project to bring in some experience, and if (BIG IF) we get the appointment right maybe just maybe we could have the start of something?

Everything is doom and gloom at the moment but football can change very quickly, look at the sh*tshow that is Man Utd close to relegation last season to comfortably 3rd.

They literally have to just stick it out and keep us as a PL team to see a return on their money. That is all.

Trophies do not matter. At the end of the 10 years ‘turning a profit on the asset (CFC LDN)’ is all that matters to them. With TV rights going the way they are, that’s all their projections are. They have to do the bare minimum to keep us in the PL and eating from that table. If they can flip a few players in the meantime for some nice extra pennies then that’s a bonus.

What happens on the pitch has absolutely no bearing on how they see the asset (not club)

Just seen that he had a 70.58% win percentage as Madrid manager, why the f**k did they sack him lmao Zidane and Carlo didn't even have results that good.
There were problems with Vinicius that threw the toys out of the pram because Alonso was subbing him in games and he didn't like to be subbed off. Florentino had to intervene and at the end they choose Vinicius over Alonso.

In theory that is true. But the value of the club will be determined by the whole package including the quality and value of the squad at the time of any sale. Also, the way things are going they could easily fail to keep us in the Premier League if they continue in their current direction.

If they hire Alonso it would mean someone is admitting that they have f**ked up and getting demoted internally but not publicly

No chance these clowns hire Alonso.

Yet they are on the verge of appointing Mourinho who publicly told Vinicius to stop crying after the racial incident earlier this year.

Alonso is an interesting one. Slight question marks about what happened at Madrid but it is a funny changing room.

One thing is that I bet it will massively annoy the Liverpool fans. I reckon most of them want him instead of Slot.
Alonso is certainly a better fit for their players than Slot, he prefers a quicker style of football, something they are used to under Klopp. With them going from that to slow build up play they now have under Slot, I can understand why they have hated their football so much this season.

“Lampard at 23 was a man. Players at 23 now, are brats.”
Mbappe is 27 and is still a brat. It's like he is still that 18 year old kid at Monaco.......actually, if anything, he was probably more humble back then.

Can only go tits up with that ego-filled dressing room. Mourinho's days as a player charmer are long gone.

We'll see what happens, but with players fighting maybe Florentino sees a tough coach as the solution to the personal problems in the changing room. We will need to see what Florentino says later this afternoon, he's called a press conference at 6pm CET.

I'm not going to disagree that's the overall plan but I'm not sure why they'd not look after their investment in the meantime. No other owner is in it just for the love of the game especially nowadays, Roman was a one off - well maybe the City & PSG owners. It's not as if they haven't spent the money trying its just they're very bad at it.

Looking past all the cheating the fact City have taken over us in terms of quality and value is down to the investment made on top of being a very well ran club. Do you not think Man City are worth more now than if the owners just left them as a mid to lower table team. As we've proven money doesn't buy you trophies alone.

If things go on as they are we could end up like Spurs but without the modern Stadium. While given the rising prices they could still sell for a profit the value would be much lower than if we were serial trophy winners. I don't see why they wouldn't try to succeed while they're here, it would be counterintuitive to just let the club drop into mid table obscurity. Theres the platform to make this club an awful lot more valuable and the reason they bought it in the first place.

I haven't seen any evidence of them siphoning money out of the club. From my understanding its very different from say the Glasers using profits to pay off the loan used to buy the club. I think is just incompetence rather than anything sinister, which gives me a slither of hope they can mend their ways.

Present Mourinho isn’t tough though, he won’t survive a dressing room with 3-4 factions. What Perez needs to do is to sell one of Mbappe or Vinicius. Something that drastic will get everyone else in line.

I agree, I just don't see why Florentino would hire Mourinho other than because he thinks that he can instil some discipline and beat Barcelona as he did in the past. But we all know that Mourinho is not the same one.

All Mourinho has to offer these days is his colossal ego. He's as undisciplined as many of those in the dressing room. Check out him ambushing the ref in Roma's underground car park and abusing him. And his behaviour at Benfica. If he's appointed, sit back and enjoy the RM meltdown.

Not to say that he doesn’t want us. Suppose it’s abit like any club legend in management.
