Rangers 2020/2021 Match Day Thread

missing this while watching Chelsea v Spurs but 2-0 now should be game over. looking at the last 8 in this competition you'd have to think this is likely to be Gerrard's first trophy at Ibrox, only Hibs likely to pose a challenge

A great result for the 'Gers. I wonder if they'll draw Celtic in the next round. Oh wait...

Yes, should be Gerrard's first trophy at Ibrox. Agree, only Hibs likely to pose a challenge.

Now for next Thursday.

WATP.

Just seen the draw. Away to St. Mirren in the next round.

worst 45 minutes we've seen from Rangers this season - lucky to go in 2-2
Yes, seem off the pace and passing isn't as good as it usually is.  Hopefully an improvement in the second half.

we look like we went into the game thinking we'd already qualified whereas these guys know their only route through is win tonight and beat Benfica

That's better. A bit of pressure and good passing with a good finish by Arfield.

Agree, went into the game far too complacent.

Much better in the 2nd half. Great to qualify for the knockout stages. 24 games undefeated.

WATP.

got the result in the end - the head to head with Benfica puts us top of the group, think it'd make good sense to try and keep that top spot with a win in Poland

Would be great to win in Poland and finish top of the group. Then they'll be seeded. I think the knockout stages start in mid-February so wonder if fans will be allowed back into Ibrox.

That win tonight also saves Scotland's Champions League place, just ahead of Ukraine in the co-efficient. The tarriers haven't done much to help with that anyway.

Tonight Shagger became the record holder for the number of games played in Europe by a Rangers player. A great achievement for a great goalie.

Great result for Chelsea tonight. Now for Rangers to win tomorrow to make the perfect weekend.

Beer and whisky as well. WATP.

Straightforward three points, well done Rangers, keep putting the pressure on them

Yes, a straightforward three points. A great squad. Good to see Defoe score in his 800th game. As for Tavernier, what a fine player.

WATP.

And what a great goal difference. Twice that of the lot from the dark side.

The pendulum swings a bit further 13 point lead, but they've 2 games in hand. Here's hoping they keep patience with Lennon, he's doing a splendid job.

The Clyde 1 app has a program called superscoreboard.

It is comedy gold today and yesterday. There is a Celtic fan crying as I type.
