You many not know of him but Alex Chilton is a legend, a true musical great. He has written some of the catchiest most tuneful records ever made and if you haven't heard of Big Star they are well worth checking out.

Very sad news, he was very underrated. Here's a clip with Alex Chilton singing with The Box Tops, before he joined Big Star.

Sad news, indeed. He was a pioneer of blue-eyed soul. Also, owner of the best album title of all time imo
