I tought that taking your shirt off was a bookable offence.

I also know that jumping into the crowd is a bookable offence.

So does (or should) taking off your shirt AND jumping into the crowd warrant 2 yellow cards.

I was sitting at home yesterday and thought he was going to get sent off!

 
I think it still counts as one overenthusiastic celebration.

 
Sounds right to me Maksimov - it would be very harsh to dish out two yellows - I still think the rule is bloody ridiculous!

 
I think its a load of bollox that a player should be booked for celebrating with the fans and showing some passion, west ham player or not.

Could possibly be charged with indecent exposure. Not sure about a red card though.

Quite agree, wasn't it Robben last season or before, not sure if he picked up a yellow prior to jumping the board toward the crowd, but the ref gladly gave a red for it.

Tevez took off his top before jumping into the crowd.

Was a terrible ref anyway.

And Van Persie's celebration after he shinned it spectacularly at Charlton? He'd just been booked, but mysteriously escaped a second yellow, supposedly BECAUSE it would have been his second yellow.

Double standards? That's a difficult one.

Just checked - it wasn't. It was Chris Foy who sent off Robben, and Clattenburg who turned a blind eye to Van Persie.

Was that the same match where van Persie blatantly kicked JFH, and got away scot free? They didn't even replay it on Match of the Day.

 
Having watched Tevez's goal celebrations at the weekend, I think he went much further than Robben did.

Actually, it looked to me that Tevez not only took his shirt off and jumped into the crowd, but he also went into the club bar for a couple of pints and shagged the tea lady before returning to the pitch

It was Clattenburg who booked Sheva and someone else at the bridge for slapping hands with someone in the MHL a few weeks later.

 
Being that all the press are saying Tevez is a goner after this season, does anyone else still think he could do a job for us?
