Yes mate his band was called that. There is a vid on you tube about them. He was quite well known in hooligan circles, I remember him being interviewed on Telly by some regional tv station at an away game, cant remember who now. He got banged up after Hickey and co and the police messed up the arrest or something like that so he got some compensation and went out to Thailand with it and brought a bar and called it the dogs bo**ocks. He was out there with Hickey. So def a face but not as well known as the above mentioned.

the earlier posts about the headhunters connection with skin heads makes this seem relevant. Really shameful

Mate, Chelsea fans en masse doing anything remotley racist to my mind ended in the 80s.Joined in myself bitd, it was pretty much fashionable amongst our support and anyone saying it wasnt is either telling porkies or wasnt there.Dont think its a relevant link at all tbh.Think as a firm chelsea are pretty much finished now anyway along with everyone else. Most of the old school lot are too old now, and any game youth that came through were jumped on quick by the old bill. Young uns today are not even introduced to agro as "football culture" because if it happens at all it is near enough eradicated from view of a football ground!

Bore off you drip.
I was going on about how it still exists in Russia is shameful and how FIFA are planning a World Cup there is ridiculous. Get over yourself brokerboy.

Chelsea LIKE EVERY other club has had their racist element ...From the skin era to present day....From my adled memory i remember BABS being a leader of our men...I have also put a pic of chelsea fans in the 70s with multi race mobs...In the Hickey era of the real Headhunters ( imo) i saw and experienced guys of various colours being as one unit.....In my opinion only , chelseas so called racist era was really reasonably quite fair to all..When i go now , because i have an  italian background , hence an olive skin, there are the few that dont know me from jack sh*t and may make remarks as to whether i may be a tourist or not...Who cares..WERE CHELSEA UNITED WE LL NEVER  BE DEFEATED...itl always be part of everyones lives in everyday life or at football..AND that includes chelsea

that's true about the 80's, remember the abuse Canonville used to get from us....but that side of football is finished now...I hear rumours of it going off sometimes, not sure how much truth there is in any of it, and it's a mugs game....look at Marinner on YT v. Cardiff, getting kicked in the bo**ocks and doing 3 years for it !!

Rascism? Look at the leaders around at the time..SS at Spurs,T at Millwall, B at Chelsea, C at west ham for example

You have just made a relevant point even more relevant. People need to think before they jump on the Racism Express.

that's true enough mate....but it doesn't mean the fans weren't racist, ...those black leaders were regarded us ''one of us'' and exceptions made for them,  plus they could handle themselves !!...I went with a black mate in the 70's who had to listen to a stream of racist abuse from behind us in the west stand until we had a go at em.,,,,only got to look at the affiliations of some of the old headhunters to right wing organisations to know the truth about racism at Chelsea

Dangerous ground there DTF, im not quite sure that making allowances for them as one of us makes it any less racist. The point most ppl miss is that growing up in or around certain parts of london or any other big citys in the 70s and 80s made u all part of the same pie regardless of your colour. As ive quoted numerous times before the likes of me and mine were getting shoved up chimneys 70 years prior. Racism was always a weapon used by the hirachy to keep the lower classes fighting amongst themselves.

hi mate....maybe it didn't come out right, what it was supposed to mean was yes, we were racist, the fact that a few blacks were also with us doesn't make it less so...my comm was in reply to someone who pointed out the black leaders at other firms, so questioned the whole thing about racism....as for racism being used by the hierarchy, I sort of agree, but in our case it came from being Londoners who didn't like the black influx into our areas, simple as that..Face it, some of us still hate northerners, scousers and y*ds.....not nice, and probably shouldn't go on, it's the tribal nature of the white working class

Nah its all good mate I just wanted a semi educated argument seeing we had just lost to Newcastle haha.

And im from the Elephant so yeh ill leave the rest of it hanging.

Used to do all my drinking at the Elephant...The Pineapple, Gibralter etc, and Old Kent Rd....but back to what you said, it was just being young, makes you foolish, I cringe at some of the views I had back then, I used to read the Daily Mail, so it just shows how daft I was !!...sh*t result today, when should we start calling for Jose out ??
