Has anyone mentioned brothel creepers?

Coppers taking the laces out of our Doc Marten's.Coppers stamping on our feet to check whether we're wearing steel toe-cap boots or not.

Coppers confiscating our Doc Marten's and chucking them in a big pile outside the ground, causing a total free-for-all after the game as we tried to find our own boots, or possibly some better ones.

overweight/unfit policemen
i remember a transport police sergeant based at Euston. fat bloke with a massive gut, which he'd use as his secret weapon. he'd be yapping away at you then suddenly flex his gut and knock you flying. we used to call him The Penguin.. but never to his face!

at my home town doncaster there was a bobby sorry policeman who like to push his

weight around is fair to say

it started off as a laugh as we would say 'hello c**tstable' to him now and againhe never clicked

on and it got too the point he would answer back 'iam not a c**tstable look iam a sargent pointing to his stripes

to this day were sure he never clicked on and it just got worse and worse

Coventry away ;) Always carried some spare laces :gen145:

Early 80s, half time races on the scorboard above the north terrace, with the Shed cheering on the one they wanted to win, much to the bewilderment of 79 Barnsley/Burnley/Rotherham supporters packed into their section.

coventry away , laces, yes and a long walk to the ground, always put in their end, and jeff blockley

You dont see or hear 69 69 69 chants when the time is on the scoreboard any more.

What about the coppers Billy Bunter & asian(for want of the original word used) copper in turban at the back of the old shed terrace

Fences round the pitch, remember when the punter's friend, Ken Bates, wanted to electrify them ?

Monkey nuts.

Scarves tied to wrists.

Flared jeans.

Noddy cars in front of the Shed behind the goal. I recall a light blue one that always seemed to be there.

Tackling. Like ballet these days sometimes in the prem league. Lower down the leagues it's a bit more traditional including getting on with it after a hard tackle instead of rolling around as if you are dying.

The high standard of customer service in the old tea bar at the back of the shed. Those girls were at the forefront of corporate catering.

One example I can think of

Chelsea v Oxford slinging down with rain

Valued customer Two cups of tea you old s##g

Customer service representative who the f##k you calling an old s##ag you f####ng wan##r

Valued customer You you ugly old bint

And so it went on.

Happy happy days.
