Just out of interest does anyone actually think he isn't that good a player? i.e are all the 'No' votes because of his injury record (which is understandable) or are some actually baed on his ability?
The only reason I wouldn't take him is his injury record. I think he's a good player, though not a great one - maybe he'd become a great one if he played more often and stayed injury free?

On a serious note, I believe I heard on Chelsea TV that we just hired a new physio
A Leeds fan was complaining about it, as apparently the physio was theirs.

If it is specifically for Robben then it better be this fella

I think even this bloke and protective suit for diving (was posted some time ago) together cann`t help Robben. Confused.

I voted no, but not for the inadequate musculature or whatever it is that means he is unable to play for huge amounts of the season.

I voted no because

a) He is vastly over-rated in my opinion

B) He has a stupid haircut

c) He's Leeds (scum)

d) He's one of the ugliest muhfuhs in the world game (and that's saying something given some of the ugly bar stewards there are!), and

e) He's nowhere near GEFC

Kev

If we could sign him on a 'pay as you play basis' then YES.

Without doubt, a quality player.

He's about as reliable as Michael Owen - and I wouldn't want him at Chelsea either. I'd much rather we brought in a promising youngster, or better still, gave Michael Mancienne a chance.
I agree he's a quality player.. but he is far too injury prone for my liking.

I'd like Mancienne, but I also like the look of Richards. We could have England's back 4 should Johnson sort himself out !!

Well...seems Mr.
wood-gate.jpg
had a stinker against Spain and particulary Villa.

Forget him, lets get Villa.

with carvalho here, that is something we can't assure him of.
Who you kdding, mate; at this rate we need ANOTHER goal keeper, left back and two central defenders.

On a serious note, I'd take him. Partly because he is quality. Partly because he won't be fit the whole season and so would not really be expecting to play the whole season. Partly because we are supposed to have a great medical team (and facilities). I think we should be able to keep him fit for the majority of the season, during which time we could rest RC or JT from time to time to allow THEIR bodies to rest and recover, thereby keeping THEM fit.

Cheers,

Butch

Disagree there. I thought both Rio and Woody had particularly good games last night.

I wouldn't say particularly good but I would say that both of them, especially Woodagte, didn't have bad games in the way others did.

When I wrote my post in the ENgland Spain thread where I named the three players I had sympathy with I almost named Woodgate as one of them.

What the game did show again is that Villa is continuing to impress and that Torres is still the player he always has been - alleged potential which he has never grown into.

I am surprised that Woodgate is getting a caning. I thought he looked very accomplished both defensively and on the ball.

Bad as Engalnd were, Spain were really no better. Iniesta scored a great goal but that was about the sum of it for them.

My opinion is well documented - he would be a bargain buy and well worth the risk
Here here Lz, I posted similarly elsewhere on here lat year
