Liverpool set to make an opening offer than will be higher than the total fee, plus add ons, they just paid for Florian Wirtz, which was 116mill all in. 120mill ish firs offer, likely rejected but I expect to one gets done.

I'm sure their argument will be they won the league (we got more winning the CWC)

Or they didn't spent last summer (our net spend was only 40M higher)

They'll find some way to spin it or blame someone else.

They won 180m in total for winning the PL. We earned 53m for finishing fourth plus 86m for the CWC.

Liverpool received a total of £174.9m in prize money for winning the Premier League in 2024-25.

All 20 clubs earn a share of Premier League prize money. The amount each club receives depends on their league position and number of televised matches.

Prize money consists of UK and international merit broadcast payments, equal shares, commercial revenues and facility fees.

The Premier League champions earned £53.1m in basic merit payments last season, plus an additional £24.9m in facility fees.

In comparison, bottom club Southampton received £2.6m in basic merit payments and £9.7m in facility fees.

Clubs are also paid a facility fee for matches broadcast on domestic TV.

Liverpool had 30 of their 38 league matches televised - more than any other club.

All clubs received a central commercial payment of £7.9m and equal shares from UK (£29.8m) and international (£59.2m) revenues.

According to the Premier League, more than £550 million has also been committed to supporting the wider game.

The total payments received by clubs for the 2024-25 season are slightly lower than the previous campaign.

Looks like Isak only wants Liverpool, which adds to my theory liverpool set this up to happen only after they signed Ekitike.

I Don't blame Isak though though, I mean best keeper in the league, best defence, very good midfield and joining an attack that has Salah, Wirtz, Ekitike and possibly Rodrygo?!

If you cannot win titles and CL with such a team something is very wrong.

The builders are on over time to get the brickwork up to wall plate level in the next 2 weeks. Then it’s over to me and any family I can drag in to help me to put on the pitched roof and fit out the insides…
