ANELKA DEAL VIRTUALLY DONE ...

[Maksimov]

Never forgaet the Leeds fans singing 'ya sign fa scoom ya wooont com baack' - 'ya sign fa scoom ya wooont com baack'He signed for scum, and has never looked back

Even if he did look back, Leeds are so far behind he'd need binoculars or a time machine to see them.

Very pleased with this signing. The thought of Pizarro leading the line tomorrow filled me with dread.

I suspect he'll still do it with Anelka on the bench

If we play two up front, I've got a feeling that Mr. Piz could surprise us and pop up with a goal... Everybody'll be watching Nic, so he'll have more joy than when he plays up front and has two defenders at his back.

I think that Pizarro will start and Anelka will coem off the bench. I think that this is a decent signing, but not one that will set the world alight. however, it is one that was needed. I think Berbatov just carried to much additional bagage. Also, his last 2 moves to fenerbache and bolton were both for roughly 7-8million, and then he comes to us and we pay double that!

I think that saying in public that you want a striker is a bad business move, also, we would not have been in this predicament had it not been for the stubborness of Jose and Roman

Anelka looked the business on Saturday - I was stoked, strong on the ball, good link up play, good movement off the ball (what we have been missing) , two good shots

im stoked

I hopes Nicolas Anelka will score his first goal for Chelsea against Birmingham this week.
