Chelsea vs Bayer Leverkusen (Friendly) Friday 8th August 19:00 GMT

[Scott Harris]

JOAO PEDRO!!!!

[bluedave]

We really look to have strengthened well in this window. It would be a shame to spoil it by buying an awful c**t like Garnacho.

[Snedger]

We really have a striker who knows where the net is at last!! Thank God.

[DarkMata]

Going to give away a secret.

Joao Pedro is in may fantasy team.

[Sconnie Blue]

Very assuring performance. Total control against a Bayer side who have won their last 4 friendlies whilst we are playing our first.

I think our starting XI is taking shape after this match.

[Scott Harris]

Don't want to get too far ahead of myself, but we look like we have some seriously quality players in that squad now.

[Sexyfootball]

Jorgensens not going to get 90 minutes until the start of the Carabao Cup so Enzos giving him a run out?

Outfield = non-GK !

Great finish from Joao Pedro - 2-0

[bluedave]

I was just about to say one goal would be a disappointing tally after such a promising performance. Pedro has really hit the ground running.

[Deino]

Our team looks good, options throughout

[terraloon]

He looks busy but he looks two thoughts behind compared to Palmer and Estevao ...

That’s the difference between a good player and a brilliant player

[BordeauxBlue]

We have a seriously exciting team.

[Sexyfootball]

That’s the difference between a good player and a brilliant player

And a starter vs a back up !

[DarkMata]

That’s it we’ve won the league possibly the treble.

[Sconnie Blue]

Jackson probably saw Pedro in training and decided then and there to leave.

[Deino]

How is Joao Pedro behind Danny Welbeck?? Brighton's manager is a wasteman

[BordeauxBlue]

That’s it we’ve won the league possibly the treble.

We can give anyone a run for their money and will dish out quite a few batterings you can be sure of that.

[El regreso]

If that was Jackson he misses that chance at the end

[terraloon]

And a starter vs a back up !

I really enjoyed that the youngster looked something special

[BluesPower]

Nice drive from Antwi to set up the 2nd goal.

[Scott Harris]

That was a satisfying watch. Leverkusen aren't what they were under Alonso after losing Frimpong and Wirtz, and it was a friendly, but still, we dominated that game. It felt like we were playing against a League 1 side in the League Cup.
