Unsure who is reporting the correct sum.

Back of fag packet calculations.Signed for £55m. Selling for £36m.
Do the boring accountancy nonsense (2 years of a 6 year deal) and we've about broke even on his book value.
£20m wages paid over the two years and £20m written off his value.
An all round cluster f**k of a transfer and wasted two years of his and our time. Things could have been different if not for that injury.
Best of luck in Italy where the pace should suit him much better.
€35M according to Fabrizio. So not a book profit if true.Back of fag packet calculations.
Signed for £52m on a 6 year contract. This is equal to £8.6m cost per year. He has been here for 2 seasons, and so has a remaining book value of £34.8million.
Therefore, we will be posting a small book profit if the reported fee of £36m is correct. Thats not including the salary savings. A good win for the accountants.
Ambiguous. With add ons, Including add ons, or Plus add ons.... or with strap ons?€35M according to Fabrizio. So not a book profit if true.
Like I said in my post, we’ve likely broke even.
Or they can wait until transfer deadline day when Chelsea will loan them out and their wages will be covered 100%?You are right, we don't know whats going on... but we can have an educated guess.
It is clear that neither of them are in the first team picture. It's clear that they are both on high salaries. It is clear that there is not a host of clubs all lining up to buy them and pay those high salaries. It is clear that Chelsea want them gone, and would probably accept a free transfer if it got their wages off the books.
They both have agents. If they wanted to, they could both get those agents to call around and say "look, our client is available for a low/nominal fee or free transfer. To get a move to your club my client will slash his salary by 25-75% to make it happen.".
I simply do not believe that no other club would take them if their salary was anywhere near affordable.
If they choose to stay here and collect the wage check, then fair play to them - that is their prerogative. But they are wasting their careers....
Good for them…. but afraid I can’t endorse players who would knowingly and strategically try and screw the club actively in that manner, however stupid we may have been in giving out those contracts .Or they can wait until transfer deadline day when Chelsea will loan them out and their wages will be covered 100%?
Neither of them are ever going to be competing at the top level again, why would they sacrifice their final years wages.
Hoping that they're good people and would like as little fuss as possible?Or they can wait until transfer deadline day when Chelsea will loan them out and their wages will be covered 100%?

I don't see it as screwing over. We gave them a contract, we signed it, they signed it.Good for them…. but afraid I can’t endorse players who would knowingly and strategically try and screw the club actively in that manner, however stupid we may have been in giving out those contracts .
...have replied to the wider theme of this on the chilly thread. If he prefers money over game time and career pride, then that's his choice. Shameful, but his choice all the same.I don't see it as screwing over. We gave them a contract, we signed it, they signed it.
Because the flip side is Isak, who can't leave Newcastle for a bigger pay day because no one is paying 150m.
But I guess the question is, do you think Isak is right to try and force his way out? Or should he honour his contract?...have replied to the wider theme of this on the chilly thread. If he prefers money over game time and career pride, then that's his choice. Shameful, but his choice all the same.
I think it is normal for Isak to want to leave. It is shameful and unprofessional the way he has acted since then. The club have made their position clear and so he should honour it for now, having a discussion on how to get out.But I guess the question is, do you think Isak is right to try and force his way out? Or should he honour his contract?
Ultimately Sterling and chilwell have a few years left and then that's their career over. Id find it difficult to take a massive pay cut to play for West Ham
May his balloons be bountiful.I see this is now confirmed on the club website.
Christopher Nkunku departs for AC MilanA shame it didn't work out after that pre-season injury and good luck to him in Serie A![]()
