After watching the 1st half of the fa cup final I'm even more convinced Curtis Davis should be going over smalling.
Bit harsh. You could have gone ahead of Smalling.

Depressing when you see a rival squad where every one of their players would get into our starting line up.

Casillas and Torres must be the luckiest players in the world. No matter how bad they play or if they only play 1 or 2 games a month they still get into the Spain squad.

"Convocados" is an excellent word, especially when you pretend to be fluent in Spanish.

With the exception of Torres and Villa, they'd all make the England XI.

Hart

Johnson

Cahill

Jags

Baines

Sterling

Gerrard

Henderson

Ox

Wilshere

Sturridge

Rooney is a very talented player but just does not ever seem up for the England job. By playing him off the bench you free up that NO.10 role. I think this also brings a more dynamic midfield. I know that Rooney will start every match but it's okay to dream? So given this fact, Wilshere should be in pace of Henderson. On his(Wilshere) night he is the most gifted player we have and possesses talent that the others don't have. Possibly Barkley.

How do people feel about England's chances? I think we'll do well to make it out of the group. I reckon Hodgson will organise them well and make them hard to beat, but ultimately Italy and Uruguay will prevail. It'll be a great experience for a lot of the youngsters all the same.

If England do make it out of the group then I reckon they could progress to the quarters. None of the teams in Group C are better than England IMO, maybe the Ivory Coast but not by a lot.

Milner has been training in the right-back position, apparently. Hodgson not keen on Johnson, clearly.

England could very easily qualify out of this group if the right players start and roy lets them attack the likes of Uruguay and Costa Rica. I expect England will set up boring vs Italy. If Gerrard and Henderson are our plan A in the centre of mid, say welcome home really fast. Hendo is great at what he does but isn't a midfield maestro. Wilshere needs to start with Gerrard. Best possible centre mid partnership we could have. Likely won't happen. Milner is a player I respect a lot and he's harshly underrated. Can't think of many players who can do very good job where ever they are employed. Talks of Milner as a Rb frighten me however. It tells me that Roy is as confident as we all are with Johnson. With all that said who would be surprised if Milner was a decent Rb? He's pretty good at everything else.

Roy has to believe in his young talent. No good if their only used as "impact subs".

Even if we lost to Italy, there is still a great chance to win our next two. Uruguay have an incredible forward line up but who are the rest of them? I believe they are being over-hyped massively. Costa Rica.... We'd only have ourselves to blame of we can't beat that lot.

3 lions on our shirt!

C'mon England!!'

Johnson is pony.

There's a reason Jose was quick to ship him out first time round, the boy can't defend.

I reckon Milner could do a job at right back but it's still not ideal, I can see teams targeting out right side this World Cup.

He really is. He is just lucky there is no competition for the right-back position. If we had an Azpi-esque English player Johnson would never play for his country again.
If Carl Jenkinson had managed to develop further at Arsenal than I think he would have face more competition.

I refuse to acknowledge Kyle Walker... Cause he's sh*t too.

A week before the WC and Roys only just twigged that Johnson is'nt good enough

Milner is a better player than Johnson hands down, but what's he like at RB, let's see tonight, but he would have to be terrible to be any worse that Johnson.

I actually quite like the idea of Milner at Right Back. Certainly has the energy to get up and down the pitch and also the quality to link up with the RW and deliver the ball into the box. Unsure about him defensively, we'll see how he gets on I suppose.
