So glad Mata didn't miss his penalty, Del Bosque would of benched him for a year.  :biggrin:

 
I just wanted Mata to score his penalty. In the end it didn't matter, but I'm sure he still remembers the one he took in Munich.

 
The sight of Sergio Ramos taking a tumble after a nudge from wee Giovinco will live with me for the rest of the year, hilarious.

Huge pressure on him as well bearing in mind Spain would've got knocked out had he missed. But he slotted home, cool as you like.

I read an article a few weeks back about the fact that he feels under far more pressure when playing for Roma because every single step he takes is critiqued in the papers and on the radio and television in Rome for the next week. The entire city is so obsessed with the club and there is an insane amount of media spotlight on the players, particularly him as he grew up a Roma boy, and it makes him second guess every move he makes.

He actually feels under less pressure when playing for the national side.

Can't wait for the game tonight.

Brazil vs Spain is probably the best matchup in world football. Hope to see some good performances from Oscar, Luiz, Mata and Torres.

I don't know who i want to win. I want Brazil to win for Oscar and Luiz, i want them to lose because Neymar is a diving little sh*t who is annoying me more and more by the game. I want Spain to win for Mata, Torres and Azpilicueta and i want Spain to lose because i can't stand them :tongue:

 
Italy have played well so far, Candreva has really impressed me the past couple of games. Gilardino should be nowhere near our squad, hopefully by the World Cup we'll have Immobile, Destro and Gabbiadini in the squad. It will also be a massive bonus if Rossi can get back to how he was before his horrid injuries but I can't see it happening unfortunately.

 
Cavani continues to underwhelm at this tournament, De Rossi though looks a class act, I sincerely hope we throw our cap into the ring if he is available.
