Don't find one sided romps entertaining. Unless its Chelsea doing the romping. So boring from a neutral perspective.

Only caught a bit of the Italy v Mexico game, but saw the Pirlo free-kick goal. Is it just me, or did the Mexican keeper drop his hands at the last minute? Seemed to me he could have got to the ball, but he seemed to hold back. sh*te keeper or f*ckin' cheat?

I think the keeper thought it was going over, took hands back and realized it was going in but was too late to react. It dipped right at the end.Pirlo is such a classy player! A joy to watch. That one pass he made facing the sideline. Perfectly weighted through pass.

With Real Madrid and Spain.  ::clap2::

Real Madrid 'let him go' and he was also sacked by Besiktas within 12 months.
What does that have to do with anything?

Real Madrid haven't won the cl since bosque left and they arguably have the best squad in the world.

I would expect a Chelsea fan to understand that sackings don't dictate a managers quality.

lNo, I think he knew he could not get to it and knew it was going in, and decided not to do an aimless theatrical dive that many keepers would do in that situation

Just as I would expect a Chelsea fan not to support a manager who constantly overlooks our best player for international duty and doesn't give him the playing time he deserves. Mata > Pedro, Fabregas. Like I said, Del Bosque is too much of an ignorant f**king moron to play anyone who doesn't reside in La Liga.

Pedro forced the own goal. Fabregas assisted for the second. Seemed like a good choice to start with those two.

I wouldn't say Mata is better than Fabregas but he would be better in the False 9 position.

Good performance from Spain so far, still a big fan of their brand of tiki taka no matter what people say.
I'm not, i find it incrdibly boring. One minute they will be on the attack then next it's passed all the way back to the defense and they start all over again. Yeah they eventually make the killer pass but it's just so boring to watch them go forward, then go back, then side to side, then go back again :indifferent0018: It's just so boring.

I get your point but he could be going by the "if it's not broke don't fix it" policy.

I would have Mata ahead of Fabregas and Pedro but if they are winning nobody can really say it's the wrong thing to do.

Was just saying the exact same thing to my son. I want to see more from them, they are undoubtedly a highly skilled side but make 700 passes per match when 300 will do. Add to that the play acting when anyone so much as tickles them, even worse is having pissed around with the ball for 5 mins if they lose it they will cynically hack the opposing player to the ground who is building a promising counter attack and the referee doesn't book them. How I'd love a nice Goikoetxea tackle on them to give them something to roll about for.

How many will Nigeria win by tonight? They are missing Moses and Emineke though

Also watched the Team profiles on the BBC.... The Uruguay one mentions Suarez and Forlan but not Cavini  :face_palm:
