Josh Acheampong

We did the same thing with Mount and Tomori when he was Derby manager.

Turned out alright

[Jangz]

last two friendlies.. he has been good. More composed than fofana.

[All Barco no bite]

Hopefully uses tonight as a platform to build on and cement his place in that RCB role before Fofana comes back

[dansubrosa]

I thought he was really good. Looked composed.

Definitely give him the Brighton game and see how he does. It’s really annoying we play Arsenal so soon, would have been nice to get a few more games under the belt.

[Gordon Bennett]

I like him. I think we've got a gem of a player here.

[2211]

Looks good with a run of games.

[El regreso]

Needs to improve his concentration they targeted his side over the top for a reason

Not sure that was the case, and in any event the goals came from Colwill/Hato's side. Fulham would ordinarily try and attack mostly through Iwobi and Robinson and apart from a late chance for the latter, they had little success.

The first part is true, but for our defence as a whole. Fofana showed last season that he is prone to similar lapses, so for better or worse I don't think we lose much by rotating both of them in that position. The game is played at such a high tempo that 'concentration' only gets you so far, and it is easily surpassed by defenders who know their roles and positions and disciplines well.

Ideally, we get another midfielder so that Reece James can play there.

[PhilH930]

He’s got quality and attributes to go to the top. Needs game time. No concerns at all if he continues in a back 3 for us. Great performance - well done Josh.

[big blue]

Since the Milan game where he dominated Rafael Leao, he seems to have found a bit of momentum. He is starting to look like the player that is wanted by every club in europe. Making that right centre back spot his own.

[Sconnie Blue]

Really hope Fofana stays benched or Josh rotates with James at RCB.

[All Barco no bite]

Good to see Alonso has trust in him, could be a huge season for him

[Valerie]

Looks like he's improved with leaps and bounds over the summer. Full of confidence too. I was impressed with his Luton performance.

[All Barco no bite]

Having a proper break out season, probably our most consistent CB at the moment. Ready made for that RCB role.

[Remodez]

This guy has just slotted into the system with minimal issues. He was easily the best of our 3 CB's today

[All Barco no bite]

Thank god Alonso came in and promised his family game time. We would have been kicking ourselves in a few years had he left

I didn't like him not clearing the corner that led to their goal. Shouldn't have lost his man at the near post. His aerial ability in general needs a bit of work, if he wants to be a center back.
Apart from that he was quality yesterday, and has been most of the time this season. A proper jump from last year.

I would go as far as to say he has been our best CB so far this season.

[Sconnie Blue]

It would always be beneficial for him to stay, given James' fitness. My only fear was that the bloke who doesn't care about anything would get ahead of him, like every manager before Alonso.

Thank goodness Alonso isn't thick.
