Under Ratcliffe I don’t see them getting to the number Newcastle need so another gazumping could be on the cards.

 
Jaissle wouldn't take the job if Gordon, Tonali, Bruno G, and Hall are all sold in the same window.

Looks like Bruno is gone now too. I raté Jaissle but he's going to have a hell of a job just keeping them up if the squad is as threadbare as it is right now.

Whoever the DoF is now, I've lost track, seems to have indicated a buy young, develop and sell policy. BlueCo 2. PIF are pulling the strings. They have abandoned LIV Golf having spunked $5bn setting it up. They paid Jon Rahm a reported $250m just to sign on. Fiscal madness. The poor old Toon look like they're going to be caught in the same squeeze.

We're desperate when it comes to outgoings and everyone knows it.

If we were after Cucurella there's no chance we get him for under £80m.

Same for Santos. Probably no way of getting him for under £60m.

The main reason for why I think the United fans are deluded to think they would get him for the rumoured 50M amount. That is 10M going straight to Chelsea. What's Newcastle left from that? 40M for one of the best homegrown talents in the country. They are not that stupid.

Wish we'd do some business with them in regards to Lewis Hall as we have so many players ready to go the other way and maybe we find a good deal for both parties.

Its basically taken of the price, but I think it works to both our advantage with the PSR nonsense.

£70m I have a feeling Man Utd won’t pay that. If the 20% off is true then £56m is a pretty good in today’s market and not far off Cucurella money or how much we’ll end up paying for Chavarri the way negotiations are going.

 
If hes anything less than double what we’re paying for Chavarria then it’s a no brainer to bring Hall in.

Just seen reports that his preferred destination is Utd over us though, which seems odd for someone who came through the system to not view us as highly as that crumbling club.
