And Liverpool still managed to finish 3rd.A few seasons back, when Klopp had significant injuries (but to a far lesser extent than we have now) he lost 6 consecutive home games ... elite coaching indeed !
Yes - they had a good finish when they got their players back, but the point still stands. And Liverpool still managed to finish 3rd.
No, the point is actually good managers get through difficult periods. You can spin it any way you like. Liverpool have 2 of their most crucial players out injured, a CB playing LB and a 20 year old playing RB and took the absolute piss out of us. We had Reece James and Jackson at Old Trafford with the same squad, still looked utterly pitiful.Yes - they had a good finish when they got their players back, but the point still stands.
There isn't a manager on the planet that can win games consistently with a huge injury list.
The point is Klopp had a few players out and lost 6 home games (at fortress Anfield) in a row ... it isn't "spin" ... it happened ... to Klopp .... anyway you carry on down your manager bashing path if it makes you feel better !No, the point is actually good managers get through difficult periods. I am so done with the injuries excuse.
And he still managed to get them through it? You are so fixated on 6 games when their whole season was in turmoil after Van Dijk's and Matips injuries yet Klopps coaching still had them finish 3rd.The point is Klopp had a few players out and lost 6 home games (at fortress Anfield) in a row ... it isn't "spin" ... it happened ... to Klopp .... anyway you carry on down your manager bashing path if it makes you feel better !
That's a good question, and I have a few thoughts on that, but I don't think this thread is the right place for it. I'll see if I can find a suitable thread to resurrect that will be a better platform for some debate on the midfieldHere's a question. Explain to me how our midfield (which is arguably the highlight of our squad talent wise) has been fit and playing together all 7 months yet still look clueless playing with one another, and is an utter liability in both build up and defensive transition?
Yes that was a bad show. The club should make amends to him for doing that. Mind you I reckon that by standing there wondering what to do he was ironically imitating his heroes. That is unbelievably bad and inexcusable behaviour by our players and staff. I really felt for that kid just left standing there wondering what the heck he should do.![]()
I think he is tinkering as we have games close together. He's needed to up his game all season. We're tenth in the league.
He knew this at Tottenham and PSG too, still failed though. The guy just isn't a good enough coach. Two positives
Nkunku looks a good attacker
Secondly Poch knows in the final he has to up his game.
Negatives too many to mention.
Jotas goal was a bit fortunate as the ball ricocheted off his chest reminded me of Luca V in the snow in Norway.
Our women’s team wouldn’t have been as bad as that. They’d probably have won.Chelsea were warned after the Liverpool match for fielding a ladies team
Var did look closely during the match and although there was no balls on show they said it was not enough evidence to abandon the match
but who is ...same old managers season after season looking for teams to manage .they are always availiable cause they all fail and get sacked. so whats the answer. He knew this at Tottenham and PSG too, still failed though. The guy just isn't a good enough coach.
Yeah it is awful and gives us yet another black eye last night. That is unbelievably bad and inexcusable behaviour by our players and staff. I really felt for that kid just left standing there wondering what the heck he should do.![]()
And who is to blame for this sh*tshow? Boehly. That was a bit sh*t wasn’t it. Cup final should be a laugh, can only hope they underestimate us after that. Probably still beat us even if they do.
Petrovic a small shining light. Nkunku great finish. Carney looks like he can still move. Gusto didn’t look too bad.
Refs were a load of sh*t, would probably be really angry right now if the lads had deserved anything from the game. But f**k them, they deserved the injustice, that was awful.
I don’t even expect us to compete, Liverpool are years ahead of us right now. I’m just fed up of the lack of effort and organisation. We rely on individual brilliance to create scenarios. Half of their lot will probably look sh*te once Klopps gone, they don’t need to be great to work in his system.
Long few years ahead I think.
