I genuinely don't know what game you watched? I disagree with you on most things, and this is just another instance.

We were so much better today than we have been for a long time. Playing the ball forward more quickly, playing with more speed and cutting out the minute upon minute of cb's knocking it about between themselves. It doesnt make up for the damage he has done through the season, but it was much better.

Sometimes I think you say things just to be contrary....

It’s fine, just ends up with loads of threads. Massive three points today, he certainly got the first half bang on.

I might agree with you if Liverpool and Arsenal were level on points in a title race and they had to win today.

But that wasn’t the case, today’s game was meaningless to them and the result didn’t really matter.

 
Did we watch the same match? The tactics were brilliant and we got the job done.

The defensive tactics were abysmal in the 2nd half, the players deserve all of the credit for dragging us over the line, especially Palmer who looked back to something like his best. Liverpool were dominating us on the wings and the defending from set pieces was terrible. They probably should have scored 2 or 3 goals themselves. We needed James on much sooner and Caicedo in midfield so he could help Cucurella instead of leaving him exposed to Salah. Sancho coming on for Jackson as the first sub was an odd choice.
